Mama June has broken her silence over her daughter Pumpkin’s decision to pursue a new career in hardcore pornography.
Pumpkin, real name Lauryn Efird, recently shocked her longtime fans by jumping into sex work by becoming both a stripper and an X-rated OnlyFans creator with her new boyfriend following her 2024 divorce from husband Josh Efird.
Speaking to TMZ, June said that she supports mom-of-four Pumpkin’s decision to do porn, but warned that ‘all money ain’t good money’.
She also said that she hopes her daughter is making ‘more than $10,000’ from selling explicit content online.
June did however express concerns that Pumpkin’s four kids ‘could eventually come across their mom’s content when they’re older’.

Pumpkin, 26, currently films raunchy content with her new boyfriend, who happens to be her ex-husband’s cousin.
In an interview with the GWF podcast in April, Pumpkin said that she first wanted to do OnlyFans during the Covid pandemic, but Efird was dead set against it.
‘I just wanna make money, you know what I mean?’ she said.
Once Pumpkin and Efird divorced in 2024, she found love with his cousin Darrin Kitchens and the couple started getting down and dirty on the internet.
They currently have a number of sex tapes for sale on Pumpkin’s OnlyFans page, which are being sold for around $100 each.
The reality star even told TMZ that she has some ‘girl-on-girl’ content planned and that she may even film a threesome with Kitchens in the future.
Pumpkin also shared on the GWF podcast that she sometimes chats with married men on OnlyFans who are unhappy with their wives.
‘People judge me for that but at the end, I’m still giving back to my fans,’ she reasoned.

She’s also admitted to earning thousands for her strip club gigs, and that’s before tips.
Pumpkin filed for divorce from Efird in August 2024 after six years of marriage and the divorce was finalized a month later.
They have four children together, while Pumpkin is also the legal guardian of her younger sister Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson.

In an episode of their long-running reality show Mama June: Family Crisis from last year, Pumpkin admitted that she’d moved on from Efird with his cousin during a family dinner.
‘So, I’ve been, like, kinda seeing this dude,’ she begins. ‘He’s been in Josh’s family for a long time…. It’s his cousin.’
She then quickly clarified, ‘They’re not blood cousins!’
June ‘Mama June’ Shannon was stunned by the revelation, snapping, ‘Why in the world? The divorce ain’t even dried on the ink yet!’
Pumpkin stood her ground, continuing to defend her shock romance despite the mounting backlash from her friends and family.
‘But they’re not blood cousins!’ she told her friend Paisley, explaining that Kitchens is related to Efird’s stepfather.
‘I’ve known him for a really long time. We were friends back in school, and then, he messaged me on social media,’ Lauryn dished. ‘We’ve just kind of been talking, and it’s kind of nice.’

Kitchens even changed his Instagram username to ‘@pumpkinspimp69’.
Meanwhile, Efird moved on from Pumpkin with new girlfriend Breanna Godwin, with the pair welcoming a daughter named Sadie in May of last year.
The relationship drama played out on the eighth season of the Mama June reality show, which wrapped in May.
Amidst all the family drama, Thompson aka Honey Boo Boo, now 20, has been focused on her education.
Thompson has been studying to become a pediatric intensive care unit nurse in Denver and is due to graduate college next year.
