Leonardo DiCaprio Had Fun at 2026 Awards Shows
With his One Battle After Another success, DiCaprio was the butt of several jokes during the 2026 awards season — but was spotted laughing along.
“Leo’s here, thank God,” Chelsea Handler said when kicking off awards season in January 2026 at the Critics Choice Awards. “Leo almost didn’t make it tonight because he was trapped on a boat in St. Barts. It was just like the Titanic, but worse, because Jeff Bezos was there.”
DiCaprio also had a brief interaction with Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser when he was brought up during her monologue that same month.
“Leonardo DiCaprio is here for One Man Bun After Another,” Glaser said, bringing up the nominated film. “How good was Leo in One Battle After Another? It’s insane, so good. What a career you’ve had, countless iconic performances, you’ve worked with ever great director, you’ve won three Golden Globes, an Oscar — most important thing is you were able to accomplish all of that before your girlfriend turned 30. I mean, it’s just insane.”
Glaser was quick to apologize, calling the joke “cheap” before explaining her thought process.
“We don’t know anything else about you. There’s nothing else, like, open up. I searched [and] the most in-depth interview you’ve ever given was in Teen Beat magazine in 1991,” she asked. “Is your favorite food still, ‘pasta and more pasta?’ Look it up, that’s real.”
The camera panned to DiCaprio in the crowd who was nodding his head and giving Glaser a thumbs up.
