It’s been 27 years.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet shared a kiss on Tuesday as they reunited 27 years after their blockbuster film, “Titanic,” was released.
The “Don’t Look Up” star, 50, attended the screening of Winslet’s latest film, “Lee,” at Harmony Gold in Los Angeles, where he also introduced her ahead of a panel.
“Kate, my dear friend. Your work in this film has been nothing short of transformative,” the actor said in a video shared on Instagram.
“I continue to be awestruck. I continue to admire your strength, your integrity, your talent and your passion to every single project that you create. Without further ado, one of the great talents of my generation: the one and only Kate Winslet,” he added.
As the Oscar-winning actress took the stage, she kissed her longtime pal on the lips and hugged him.
The pair also posed together alongside a poster promoting the film, which follows the story of photographer Elizabeth “Lee” Miller, a fashion model who became an acclaimed war correspondent for Vogue magazine during World War II.
In the snap, the 49-year-old actress rested her head on DiCaprio’s shoulder as they held on to each other’s arms and smiled for the camera.
Winslet and DiCaprio first hit things off when they played Rose DeWitt Bukater and Jack Dawson, respectively, in the 1997 romance film.
The movie tells the story of a poor artist (Dawson) and a rich debutante (Butaker) who met and fell in love on the famously ill-fated maiden voyage of RMS Titanic in 1912.
The movie was an instant hit at the box office, raking in more than $2 billion worldwide and snagging several awards, including 11 Academy Awards.
Twenty years later, they reunited onscreen once more as they played a married couple in “Revolutionary Road.”
The pair have remained friends following the release of James Cameron’s worldwide phenomenon.
Last year, Winslet told “Entertainment Tonight” that she and DiCaprio “clicked immediately, right away” on set.
“He was this kind of mess of long, skinny, uncoordinated limbs. And he was just very free with himself, and he had this effervescent energy that was really magnetic,” she recalled. “And I remember thinking, ‘Oh, this is gonna be fun. We’re definitely gonna get along.’ And we just really did. We just really did.”
Since their on-screen romances, Winslet has been married three times, most recently to Edward Abel Smith.
On the other hand, DiCaprio has never married and is currently coupled up with model Vittoria Ceretti.
