Jamie Foxx has hit headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent weeks after making an offensive comment about ‘white women’.
The star, 57, landed in hot water after making a controversial comment in his new Netflix special What Had Happened Was… – with many believing he was taking a swipe at his ex Katie Holmes.
He said of dating: ‘Sisters, I’m here to tell you, I’ve been cured. I’ve been cured of everything, no more white girls. I’m serious, no more white girls. No more white girls. No more. No more white girls.’
It is not known if he is still dating his latest girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp after their relationship was confirmed in August 2023.
It comes as it was revealed he had a glass thrown at his face at his 57th birthday dinner last weekend that left him needing stitches.
He was out celebrating his birthday after finally revealing the reason behind his mystery hospitalization last year, explaining he suffered a stroke caused by a bleed on the brain.
The comments about ‘white women’ is not the first time he has been caught up in scandal.

Just last year he was forced to apologize for a controversial post branded anti-Semitic by fans.
The controversy began when Foxx took to Instagram to share an emotional message that read, ‘They killed this dude called Jesus… what do you think they’ll do to you???!’
It was followed by the hashtags #fakefriends and #fakelove, and some interpreted to be anti-Semitic.
Foxx followed with a statement clarifying that he did not have the Jewish community in mind when he uploaded the note.
His ex Katie was spotted for the first time on Sunday since he made an offensive comment about about being ‘cured’ from dating white women.
On Sunday, the actress, 45, put on a brave face as she flashed a tight smile while walking down the busy streets of New York City.
Her outing came just days after Foxx’s special What Had Happened Was… hit Netflix. It featured a shady reference to their six year romance.
Sitting down at a piano, the Hollywood star sang: ‘Sisters, I’m here to tell you, I’ve been cured.
‘I’ve been cured of everything, no more white girls. I’m serious, no more white girls. No more white girls. No more. No more white girls.’

Just last year he was forced to apologize for a controversial post branded anti-Semitic by fans – which Jennifer Aniston then had to deny she had ‘liked’
Jamie then apologized for his choice of words and clarified the meaning of the previous post, explaining he was calling out a ‘fake friend’ and not the Jewish community
As audience members applauded and leapt out their seats, Jamie continued: ‘I’m back on the black side of town!
‘No more white girls. No more potato salad and raisins. No more white girls. No more spray tan, no more big t*tties no ass, no more white girls.’
Jamie has had several high-profile relationships over the years with both black and white women.
In 1993 he dated Connie Kline, and the pair went on to welcome daughter Connie one year later.
Between 1996 and 2001, he was linked to Haitian actress Garcelle Beauvais, before going on to date actress Leila Arcieri in 2005.
In 2008, Jamie dated Kristin Grannis, the mother of his second daughter, Anelise.
He then dated Katie from 2013 to 2019.
Some reacted to his comments online as they penned: ‘Jamie Foxx what a misogynist black racist unbelievable any white man say something like he just said about the black women there would be an uproar.’,
‘Jamie Foxx declares he’s ‘cured’ of dating white women following stroke after six-year romance with Katie Holmes UM EXCUSE ME ‘CURED’? IMAGINE A WHITE PERSON SAYING THEY’RE ‘CURED DATING BLACK PEOPLE’?’
His comments about ‘white women’ come after he was accused of being anti-Semitic by some of his fans last year.
He shared a message that read, ‘They killed this dude called Jesus… what do you think they’ll do to you???!’
It was followed by the hashtags #fakefriends and #fakelove, and some interpreted to be anti-Semitic.
Someone named Jennifer Aniston appeared to ‘like’ the remarks – but Aniston quickly created a post of her own to distance herself from the perceived contention and denied any connection to it in her Instagram Stories.
‘This really makes me sick, ‘she wrote.
‘I did not ‘like’ this post on purpose or by accident,’ The Morning Show star maintained.
There are dozens of fan accounts on social media under the name Jennifer Aniston.
‘And more importantly, I want to be clear to my friends and anyone hurt by this showing up in their feeds — I do NOT support any form of antisemitism. And I truly don’t tolerate HATE of any kind. Period.’
Foxx followed with a statement clarifying that he did not have the Jewish community in mind when he uploaded the note.
His controversies stem back to 2012 when he hit headlines for a joke he made during a Saturday Night Live monologue
His recent controversy comes after it was revealed that he had a glass thrown at his face at his birthday party in Beverly Hills last Friday night and required stitches
Jamie attempted to rectify the situation as he shared a second post that read, ‘I want to apologize to the Jewish community and to everyone who was offended by my post. I now know my words of choice have caused offense and I’m sorry. That was never my intent.
‘To clarify, I was betrayed by a fake friend and that’s what I meant with ‘they’ not anything more,’ he explained.
‘I only have love in my heart for everyone. I love and support the Jewish community. My deepest apologies to anyone who was offended. Nothing but love always, Jamie Foxx,’ the message ended.
National Director and CEO of the Anti-Defamation League Jonathan Greenblatt then tweeted to thank Jamie for his apology.
‘We welcome @iamjamiefoxx’s apology and thank him for his clarification.’
His controversies stem back to 2012 when he hit headlines for a joke he made during a Saturday Night Live monologue.
Foxx was joking about his 2012 movie Django Unchained in which he played a slave-turned-bounty-hunter.
In his monologue he said: ‘I kill all the white people in the movie, how great is that?’ as some of the audience laughed in response.
The video of him on SNL started recirculating on social media after the antisemitism row.
Foxx said in the monologue: ‘I got a movie coming out, Django Unchained, check it out. I play a slave. Uh, how black is that?
‘And in the movie I have to wear chains. Umm … how whack is that?
‘But don’t worry about it, because I get out of the chains, I get free, I save my wife, and I kill all the white people in the movie. How great is that? And how black is that?’
His recent controversy comes after it was revealed that he had a glass thrown at his face at his birthday party in Beverly Hills last Friday night and required stitches.
The incident occurred at the restaurant Mr. Chow, where Foxx was seen arriving for a celebratory dinner that included his daughters Corinne, 30, and Anelise, 16, as well as his ex Kristin Grannis, who is Anelise’s mother.
‘Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth,’ a spokesperson for the actor told DailyMail.com.
‘He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands,’ the representative continued.
Police were called to Mr. Chow at around 10pm, but Foxx had left the premises by the time they reached the restaurant, law enforcement sources told TMZ.
Foxx is claimed to have been listed as one of the parties involved in the alleged incident, in an assault report that was taken by the authorities.
DailyMail.com has also reached out to Mr. Chow for comment.
The claims came after Foxx finally revealed the reason behind his mystery hospitalization last year, explaining he suffered a stroke caused by a bleed on the brain.
The actor was rushed to the ER in April 2023 after suffering a mystery ‘medical complication’, which his family decided to keep private at the time.
Foxx has now revealed exactly what happened to him and admitted he lost 20 days’ worth of memory and was unable to walk amid his terrifying health battle.
During an emotional scene on his Netflix special, What Had Happened Was… he recalled: ‘On April 11, I was having a bad headache, and I asked my boy for Aspirin.
‘I realized quickly that when you’re in a medical emergency, your boys don’t know what the f**k to do.’
Foxx then confessed: ‘I don’t remember 20 days.’
Becoming emotional, Foxx broke down in tears as he declared to the audience that he was ‘back’, adding: ‘You don’t know how good this feels.’
The Hollywood star went on to admit it’s still ‘a mystery’ what led to his brain bleed, adding: ‘We still don’t know exactly what happened to me.’
After starting his sentence with ‘What had happened was,’ Jamie broke down in tears and was comforted by the applauding audience.
He continued: ‘Your life doesn’t flash before you. It was kind of oddly peaceful. I saw the tunnel, but I didn’t see the light. It was hot in that tunnel.’
Jamie then quipped: ‘S**t, am I going to the wrong place?’
The Oscar-winning actor credited his sister Deidra with ‘saving his life’ after she drove him to Atlanta’s Piedmont Hospital, where he underwent a life-saving procedure.
Addressing why his family wanted to keep details of his health scare to themselves, he said: ‘I was dizzy from the stroke, so my head would bob around, and my family thought everyone would ‘meme the f***’ out of me.”
Last week Jamie finally revealed the reason behind his mystery hospitalisation last year, sharing he suffered a stroke caused by a bleed on the brain
Jamie went on to reveal that he vividly remembers waking up from his coma on May 4, and being unable to walk.
He recalled: ‘When I woke up, I found myself in a wheelchair. I couldn’t walk.’
Yet Jamie didn’t want to believe he’d had a stroke and recounted his therapist telling him about his ego: ‘You need to kill the old Jamie so the new Jamie can thrive.’
He also reflected: ‘God blessed me with money and fame, but when I forgot about God, He blessed me with a stroke.’
The Netflix special marks Jamie’s big return to the stage following his hospitalization.
