Kylie Kelce set the record straight on her dinner date with Taylor Swift.
During Thursday’s episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, Kelce shot down reports that she “refused” to eat a home-cooked meal made by the pop star, 35, after her previous comments about their get-together got misconstrued.
“You guys might have seen I also got the chance to sit down with Alex Cooper for an episode of ‘Call Her Daddy’ while I was in New Orleans,” Kelce began.
“Now there’s been quite a few tabloid headlines from our conversation but there’s one in particular that’s given me no choice but to bring back a segment near and dear to my heart: ‘F—k around and find out.’”
Kylie, 32, specifically called out one report that “f—ked around when they wrote the following headline, ‘Why Kylie Kelce Refused to Eat Taylor Swift’s Home-Cooked Meal on Double Date with Singer.’”
To start, the soon-to-be mother of four said “there was a bit of confusion” because the meal was actually cooked by a private chef — not Swift.
Regardless, Kylie made it clear that she did not “refuse” the food — reiterating her original claims that nothing sounded good because she is pregnant.
“The home-cooked meals that I did not get to enjoy were not because I ‘refused’ to eat them but because the child in my womb overwhelmed me with hormones that suggested that if I consume anything other than crackers that it might be seen again,” she said. “If you catch my drift.”
“Anyone that has experienced pregnancy nausea knows that it’s not a choice,” she continued. “At 8 weeks [pregnant], that’s not a choice.”
Kylie noted that some women can only “stomach” bland foods “for their entire first trimester, ” such as “cereal, crackers or pretzels.”
“And you know what? Sometimes that’s me,” she continued. “I didn’t refuse anything, I wouldn’t refuse anything — especially if I was without child.”
While the podcast host “was unable to stomach” the home-cooked dinner, she “did get a chance to try” Swift’s “Funfetti pancakes” later that weekend.
“They hit,” she said. “They were so good. Baby liked them, I loved them. They were very very good.”
Kylie said “the thing that bothers [her] the most” about the headline — “besides the fact that [she] directly addressed why [she] didn’t eat the meal” — was because it felt like they were “trying to pit women against women.”
“Why are we doing that?” she asked. “That seems dumb and counterproductive. Anyone that asks me in person, I am very forthcoming with how much I love and appreciate [Swift] and how much I love the fact that you can tell how happy Travis [Kelce] is. And that’s what I care about.”
Kylie concluded by asking people to stop trying to “pit women against women” and make up “beef” when there is none.
“And let’s recognize the fact that I would not refuse a home-cooked meal,” she added. “I would not refuse a home-cooked meal because I love food — unless it’s beets.”
During an appearance on “Call Her Daddy” earlier this month, Kylie was asked if she had ever gone on a double date with Swift, Travis and her husband, Jason Kelce.
“Technically yes,” she replied, noting that it was “at home” rather than a restaurant.
“I don’t know that I really ate the meal,” she added when asked about Swift’s famous cooking. “I didn’t really eat the meal because I was eight weeks pregnant.”
While she acknowledged the confession may “sound terrible” to fans, she explained that “nothing sounded” good at the time.
