Kristin Cavallari is finally revealing her mysterious athlete beau — now that they’ve parted ways.
Three months after teasing a new romance and referring to herself as a “f–king WAG through and through,” the reality star confirmed to her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast listeners Tuesday that she had a brief but “deep” fling with Nate Thompson.
The “Hills” alum, 38, didn’t hesitate to name the retired NHL player since “TikTok f–king detectives” already “pieced together” her clues from her December 2024 “Dumb Blonde” interview.
“I don’t even care,” she quipped. “I said his name on [my podcast] tour. I really think he’s such a great guy. … He is someone who has done a lot of work on himself.”
Cavallari gushed that they “connected on such a deep level,” calling the fling “one of the deeper relationships” she’s had despite the “short” time frame.
“We didn’t hold back anything,” she explained of her “honest, pure, amazing” connection to the ex-athlete. “We told each other f–king everything.”
The duo were “mostly long distance” during their time together, engaging in numerous “voice notes, FaceTime calls, phone calls [and] texting.”
Cavallari, who clarified that she is “done” dating still-competing athletes, hinted at the reason she and Thompson called it quits when she divulged what’s “missing” from all of her recent romances.
“That attraction piece for me has to be so on fire for me to want to be with someone,” she said. “I have gone out with amazing men, and this guy is a good example of that. Why can’t I fall in love you?”
Despite “firing on all other cylinders,” she said there wasn’t a “flame” with Thompson, 40, and quipped, “I need in the beginning to want to rip your f–king clothes off.
“I need compatibility and chemistry,” the “Laguna Beach” alum continued. “I understand that what I’m searching for is rare. … I’m not gonna settle for anything less than exactly what I want.”
Cavallari clarified that she was “attracted to” Thompson and “had fun” when “he came and stayed with [her] for New Year’s.”
Cavallari went on to say she has since reactivated her Raya account, insisting to her fans that she is not “hoe-ing it up” and has had an “absurd[ly]” small amount of hookups since divorcing ex-husband Jay Cutler.
The former couple were together from 2010 to 2020 and share three kids: son Camden, 12, son Jaxon, 10, and daughter Saylor, 9.
Since their split, Cavallari has made candid confessions about her dating life, from sleeping with country singer Morgan Wallen to rejecting chef Bobby Flay.
