Kelly Osbourne declared she’s “never been a California girl” after ditching Los Angeles.
The 41-year-old opened up to Hello! magazine on Monday about her relocation from Hollywood back to the United Kingdom.
“Being home in the UK has changed a lot for me,” she said in her cover story. “It’s been great to be home, and making a life for me and my son where I can see he’s truly happy.”
The former reality star, notably, welcomed now-3-year-old son Sidney with then-fiancé Sid Wilson in November 2022 — and their child is now a student at the same preschool in Buckinghamshire that she once attended.
“I met my best friend on my first day at school and she’s still my best friend. Her child goes there too; she’s a bit older than my son but they’re best friends too,” Osbourne told the outlet. “They love each other.”
She noted that gun violence influenced her decision to move, saying, “I don’t ever want to have to explain to my son what to do during a gun raid. That’s the realistic thing that you have to do in schools in America, and to me, that’s insanity.”
Osbourne, notably, has yet to sell her Los Feliz, California, home but did list it in late 2024 for $4.35 million.
In March, news broke that she and Wilson, who also resided in the latter’s home state of Iowa, called it quits on their four-year romance.
While Osbourne did not comment on the end of her engagement in the interview, she did refer to this past year the “hardest” of her life — and gushed over her “many reasons to keep going.”
The “Osbournes” alum said, “I’ve got my baby boy, and he makes me the happiest person in the world.”
Osbourne made headlines earlier this month for lashing out at her ex via Instagram Stories, writing, “Leave me alone. Let me heal. I can’t protect you from yourself anymore. Also while I’m at it can I have my dogs back and all my possessions. Oh yeah and maybe some child support?”
Last week, her brother Jack Osbourne told the Sun his sibling is in a “happier place” post-breakup and has a “good routine going.”
He added, “She’s living out by the house and she’s just doing her thing, being a mum. … She’s focusing on her and her son.”
Elsewhere in Monday’s sitdown, Kelly spoke about navigating her dad Ozzy Osbourne’s July 2025 death.
“We didn’t put my dad in any sort of morgue,” she said. “He came straight home and we got to spend a few days with him and mourn with him, and make sure that everything was the way we wanted it to be.”
Kelly also addressed body-shaming comments she received about her thin appearance while grieving the Black Sabbath rocker.
“I wasn’t well,” she said. “How can you navigate something so cruel when you’re so sick? I’m getting a lot better. I’ve got all the help I need and I’m grateful for the support I have in my life.”
