Keith Urban put on a happy face as he turned up to The Power of Music and A Mission event in Nashville on Thursday.
It was his first public appearance since rumors of his ex-wife Nicole Kidman’s new romance with Simon Baker started to swirl, rumors that reportedly left the country singer devastated.
But no one would have guessed that given the Australian’s perky demeanor at the fundraiser that served to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Urban, 58, who was honored with the Angels Among Us Award, spoke to moderator Gator Harrison about his years of supporting the pediatric treatment and research facility in Memphis, Tennessee.
Wearing jeans ripped at the knee and a black jacket over a T-shirt, Urban clearly tried his best to look upbeat.
Missing on his left hand was the wedding he had worn for the nearly 19 years he and Kidman were married.

Urban was clean-shaven and wore his brown hair parted in the center and sporting its usual side flip.
Later during the show, Urban performed a song on his guitar, closing his eyes at one point as the music seemed to move him.
His appearance comes over two months since he and the Moulin Rouge! star finalized their divorce, and just days after Kidman was said to be getting very close to her Scarpetta co-star Simon Baker.
The actress and Baker, who play a married couple on the new Amazon Prime series, were seen holding hands and smiling broadly at the show’s New York premiere on March 3.
At the event, Kidman, 58, admitted that their chemistry ‘just vibrates,’ while Baker, 56, teasingly added, ‘I don’t kiss and tell.’
Urban is said to be reeling over the revelation that his ex-wife appears to be moving on.
‘Seeing Nicole and Simon holding hands was the equivalent of seeing his best mate with his missus, and it did a number on him,’ an insider told this week’s Woman’s Day magazine.
‘He knew it was natural for her to lean on Simon – he was also there for Naomi Watts after her split from Liev [Schreiber].’

The source added that Urban was seriously hoping that Kidman and Baker were just playing for the cameras because it would devastate him if they were genuinely an item.
‘Keith is hoping they’re just hamming it up for headlines. But even then it feels to him like it’s a betrayal because both Nicole and Simon know how much even the hint of a romance between them will hurt him,’ said the source.
‘He already suspected they were getting close while filming. This has become his worst nightmare.’
Kidman and her handsome blond co-star stayed by each other’s side throughout the night while at the premiere.
The Babygirl actress has been close to Baker for decades, and is also good friends with his ex-wife Rebecca Rigg, from whom he separated in 2020.
Back in January, it was reported that Kidman’s friends had encouraged her to date another A-lister, including by her close pal Naomi Watts.
Urban’s public outing on Thursday comes just days after Kidman stole the show at the 2026 Academy Awards.
For the A-list event held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Kidman stunned onlookers in an ethereal baby pink feathered peplum gown by Chanel.
After reuniting with her Moulin Rouge co-star Ewan McGregor on stage at the ceremony, Kidman strutted her stuff on the red carpet at Vanity Fair’s famous Oscars after-party.
For the soiree, she modeled a textured gold couture gown from Chanel – a look that divided fans on social media.

At one point, the Oscar-winner appeared to unintentionally photobomb Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez as the couple posed arm-in-arm for photographers on the red carpet.
Footage of the moment shows Kidman gliding behind the pair as she made her way along the red carpet, briefly stepping into the frame during their photo opportunity.
Moments later, both Bezos and Sanchez appeared to turn their heads to watch Kidman as she stepped forward to pose for her own photos.
Fans have since poked fun at the awkward run-in on social media, with one commenting: ‘This queen walked right by and said the movie star is here.’
