“They came in, broke the glass and it was raining, and our security guy was down at the guest house,” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 66, told Extra at The Hollywood Reporter’s 2025 Women in Entertainment Gala on Wednesday, December 3.

Kathy revealed that husband Rick Hilton, who was home when the burglary occurred, heard the sound of the glass breaking and “got a shotgun out.” When three people broke into the master bedroom, Rick, 70, told them, “Get the f*** out of here. The police are on their way,” Kathy recalled.

The reality TV personality continued, “Then our [security] guy came up, they met, they ran out and then [Rick] started shooting the gun out of his office in the air.”

The individuals involved entered through a kitchen window and stole all of my luxury handbags. They also took my fine jewelry,” Stracke, 54, told Us in a statement. “Since, I have hired a 24 hour armed security team and replaced the existing property surveillance systems. I am cooperating fully with authorities as they continue their investigation.”

The break-ins at the Hiltons’ and Stracke’s homes come months after RHOBH alum Teddi Mellencamp revealed that her home with estranged husband Edwin Arroyave had been targeted by attempted burglars.

“We are grateful that everyone is unharmed,” Mellencamp, 44, and Arroyave, 48, said in a joint statement to Us in July. “While we are shaken, we are fortunate to have the latest in home security systems, which scared off the intruders. Authorities were alerted and swiftly responded. We appreciate everyone’s heightened concern in light of recent criminal activities in our area, but we are safe.”

Mellencamp later denied that the crime had any connection to robberies at the homes of other Real Housewives stars.

“People are like, ‘Oh, you’re just like So-and-So and So-and-So, who used to be on Housewives.’ I’m like, ‘We weren’t robbed,’” she said on her “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast. “Somebody attempted to come into our home. Who knows what would have happened?”
