Prince George is a teenager!

The future king turned 13 on Wednesday, with his parents marking the milestone moment by sharing a new portrait to Instagram.

“Happy 13th Birthday, George! 🎉” Kate Middleton and Prince William captioned the social media upload.

George suited up and smiled in the snap, both hands in his pockets.

King Charles and Queen Camilla re-posted the picture on their Story with a cake emoji, writing, “Happy 13th birthday to Prince George!”

The teen is the eldest of the Princess and Princess of Wales’ other two children: Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8.

He was born in July 2013.

In September, George is set to attend Eton College, the same prestigious boarding school his dad, 44, was enrolled in from 1995 to 2000.

We hear George will have a harder time at William’s alma mater since his father attended “before social media transformed adolescence.”

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield exclusively explained to Page Six, “The biggest challenge won’t be academics or making friends. It’ll be balancing Prince George’s privacy with the reality that every classmate has TikTok.

“Digital exposure, drones, social media and the speed at which information spreads all complicate the security picture,” she added. “That means Prince George’s protection will almost certainly be more sophisticated.”

Despite the complications, Schofield believes George’s parents will “allow him enough freedom” to learn from “navigating the world, making friends and solving problems independently.”

George previously attended Windsor’s Lambrook School with his younger siblings and was a student at Thomas’s Battersea in London before that.

Ahead of his Eton College transition, George has made a slew of public appearances in recent months.

He attended Wimbledon 2026 earlier this month and the visited the Royal Air Force Coningsby base in June, on the heels of his Trooping the Colour appearance.
