Kate Middleton has finished her cancer treatment, she confirmed on Monday.

“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” Middleton confirmed in a video statement on Instagram Monday.

She added, “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family.”

The Princess of Wales, 42, shocked the world when she announced her heartbreaking diagnosis with cancer in March after rumors swirled surrounding her health due to her long absence from public events.

At the time, Middleton shared that she was undergoing chemotherapy treatment, though she didn’t specify what kind of cancer she was battling.

The princess admitted in a video statement that the diagnosis “came as a huge shock” and that she and her husband, Prince William, wanted to handle her illness privately for the sake of their three kids: Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

“As I have said to them, I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal, in my mind, body and spirits,” she said.

Middleton stayed out of the public eye and continued to conduct her royal duties from bed as she continued to fight her cancer, which she said was discovered in its “early stages.”

A friend of the royal family shared in May that Middleton had “turned a corner” with her cancer treatment.

“It has been a great relief that she is tolerating the medication and is actually doing a lot better,” the insider told Vanity Fair at the time.

She made her first public appearance at the Trooping the Colour celebration in June where she was seen sharing a laugh with King Charles III on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with her husband and kids.

A month later, Middleton made a surprise showing at the 2024 Wimbledon tennis championships.
