Kangana Ranaut is currently busy promoting her upcoming movie Emergency. The film sees her portraying the character of former Prime Minister Mrs Indira Gandhi. The movie also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade and others in pivotal roles. The trailer of the movie has already got fans interested. Kangana is already winning accolades for her acting chops. Through promotions, the lady is creating buzz for the movie. In one of the recent interviews, Kangana Ranaut spoke about her bond with Salman Khan.
Kangana gets candid about her bond with Salman Khan
In an interview with entertainment news section of News18, Kangana Ranaut stated that Salman Khan is a good friend and there have been many opportunities where they could have worked together. However, it ‘never came together’. Kangana Ranaut was offered Salman Khan’s films – Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan. However, she rejected both the films. While talking about the bond she shares with Salman, the actress said, “Salman offered me a role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, I was like, ‘Yeh kya role diya hai? (What is this role?).’ He then approached me for Sultan. I didn’t take that up. He was like ‘What more do I offer to you now?’”
She further gushed about Salman Khan and called him ‘kind’. Kangana also mentioned that the Bigg Boss 18 host is excited to watch her movie Emergency. They do have a common friend and Salman got him to watch the movie, she revealed. He later called her up to say that it is a good film. Sharing about the same, the actress also added, “He called me and said, ‘It’s a nice film.’ I was like, ‘So you have the news, but you haven’t watched it yourself.’ This is the kind of bonding we share.” Kangana also appeared on Bigg Boss 18 to promote Emergency.
Emergency is going to have its theatrical release on January 17. The movie suffered a few delays but finally, it is ready to hit the theatres. The trailers and teasers are looking promising and fans do have high hopes from this film.
