In January, Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency movie was released in theatres. The actress made her directorial debut with the film, in which she portrayed former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The political drama did not earn well at the box office, and even the reviews were quite mixed. Recently, the movie was released on Netflix and a lot of people saw it on the streaming platform and shared their reactions to it.
Kangana took to her Instagram page to share some reviews that people posted on X (formerly Twitter). Someone even mentioned how the movie should go for Oscars. The actress has reacted to these posts on her Instagram story. There are multiple posts praising her movie as well as her acting.
About how the movie should go to the Oscars, one person wrote, “#EmergencyOnNetflix should go for the Oscars from India. Kangana, what a film.” To this Ranaut responded, “But America wouldn’t like to acknowledge its real face, how they bully suppress and arm twist developing nations. It’s been exposed in #emergency. They can keep their silly Oscar. We have National Awards.”
One person wrote, ‘What an amazing acting by @KanganaTeam in the movie Emergency!! In the entire movie it felt as if I was looking at the Indira Gandhi herself. What an acting!! An actor truly deserving for an award.” To this, Kangana Ranaut responded, “People are calling my acting in #emergency amazing and my best ever, could I surpass Queen, TWM2, Fashion, Thalavi? Which #emergency and find out.”
