Justin Theroux and his wife Nicole Brydon Bloom ecstatically announced on Saturday that they have welcomed a baby boy into the world.

The 54-year-old The Leftovers star and the 32-year-old The Gilded Age actress quietly married in March of last year on the beach in Tulum, Mexico.

Nine months later, a source revealed they were expecting their firstborn child, although the sex and due date remained undisclosed.

They broke the news of their son’s arrival on Instagram this weekend, jointly posting an image of the newborn snoozing gently on a shirtless Theroux’s chest.

‘He’s here,’ wrote Bloom in the caption of the black-and-white photo, adding a dove of peace emoji and gushing: ‘we are so in love.’

Well-wishers flooded into the comments, including Hacks actress Hannah Einbinder, Queer Eye star Tan France and onetime Disney Channel staple Brenda Song.

News of the pregnancy went public in December after Bloom gave her baby bump its public debut at the season two premiere of Theroux’s Amazon Prime series Fallout.

The couple were first linked in February 2023, and by that December he accompanied her as her date to her twin sister Chrissy’s wedding.

In August 2024, Bloom wore a dazzling ring on her engagement finger when she appeared at Theroux’s side at the premiere of his film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

A source claimed that Theroux had proposed in Italy, which the couple visited to attend the Venice Film Festival in support of the movie.

He was said to have presented her with a four-carat emerald cut diamond ring by Stephanie Gottlieb, the insider informed People.

Having kept their relationship largely out of the public eye, they exchanged vows at a small ceremony held on the beach in Tulum in March 2025.

Theroux was previously married to Jennifer Aniston, whom he began dating in 2011, tied the knot with in 2015 and ultimately divorced in 2017.

Their secret wedding was a star-studded affair at her $21 million Bel-Air mansion, with Jimmy Fallon officiating and a guest list including Aniston’s Friends castmates Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox, as well as Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, Jason Bateman, Chelsea Handler and Jimmy Kimmel.

They announced their split in February 2018, and a few months later Theroux told the New York Times how amicable the process had been.

‘The good news is that was probably the most – I’m choosing my words really carefully – it was kind of the most gentle separation, in that there was no animosity.’

The Mulholland Drive actor added: ‘In a weird way, just sort of navigating the inevitable perception of it is the exhausting part.’

As recently as 2024, Theroux showered praise on Aniston for having shot back at JD Vance’s unearthed jibe about ‘childless cat ladies.’

‘She is still very dear to me so, of course, yeah, I feel protective,’ Theroux told the Times of London. ‘But she batted back criticism, as well she should.’

Meanwhile Bloom is an actress and the daughter of newscaster David Bloom, who died tragically aged 39 in 2003 after a blood clot in his leg resulted in a pulmonary embolism while he was in Iraq with the US Third Infantry Division covering the war.

Although Theroux generally draws a veil of privacy over his love life, he broke his silence in 2024 to tell the story of the time he and Bloom first met.

They were introduced at a party where a friend saw Bloom, nudged Theroux and told him: ‘That’s the one,’ he shared on The Drew Barrymore Show.

‘I was like, “She’s so stunning.” So I went over and started talking… and it progressed,’ shared the Tropic Thunder screenwriter.

Theroux remarked the same year that he found it ‘much more fun not being in a public relationship’ inasmuch as ‘I want all of my relationships to exist within the four walls of whatever room we’re in,’ via Esquire.
