JoJo Siwa and her boyfriend, Chris Hughes, hinted at potentially getting engaged ahead of their first Christmas together.
“You always get people [who] get engaged on Christmas or Christmas morning, I see on Instagram every year you’re going to see somebody who gets engaged,” Hughes told the Sun in an interview published Saturday.
“I kinda like the idea of [an engagement] being at a time where it could be expected.”
“Alright,” Siwa responded. “Keep me guessing, aren’t ya?”
The 22-year-old dancer also admitted that she has considered purchasing a ring for Hughes, 32, and proposing to him.
However, the “Love Island” alum, 32, shared he felt “uncomfortable” by the idea.
“I’ve spoke[n] to people about it, before you, obviously. And I actually said, I think if I was proposed to, that would make me really uncomfortable,” he told Siwa.
The only way the “J Team” star would pop the question is if Hughes didn’t ask her to marry him in seven years.
“I don’t feel like anyone should take seven years,” Hughes said. “It shouldn’t take seven years to work out if you want to marry someone, do you know what I mean?”
“So yeah, you can go off that and then that won’t ever happen,” the TV personality continued.
Siwa then quipped that she would be “down on one knee” on May 27, 2032, if Hughes hadn’t popped the question.
“I will not wait one extra day,” she joked.
The couple first met while filming “Celebrity Big Brother UK” in April and reportedly got super cozy on set.
An insider told the US Sun that they “spent their time at the hotel holding hands and looked like a giddy couple in the early throes of love.”
The following month, the duo confirmed their relationship while packing on the PDA in Mexico, and Hughes told the Sun’s Fabulous Magazine in July that he would “love” to marry Siwa.
