Jesy Nelson has opened the door to a Little Mix reunion and has healed her rift with Simon Cowell following the birth of her daughters.

The singer, 34, who shot to fame on The X Factor, was believed to be in a six-year feud with her former bandmates Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock after she quit the group.

Music mogul Simon Cowell grouped the women together on the now defunct ITV show in 2011 and they became the first band to win the show in its history.

They achieved five number ones and sold an incredible 75million singles worldwide.

Jesy quit the group after nine years, blaming the pressures of fame and mental health struggles for her shock decision.

Now she has said she is open to reconciling with the women and making a Little Mix comeback.

The mother-of-two credits her twins’ births for her change of mind, after they were recently diagnosed with life-threatening condition Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1.

Jesy said: ‘They have healed a part of me which I never thought was possible.’

She said of a potential reunion to The Sun: ‘We’re all mums now and I can’t speak on behalf of them, but I’d like to think that we probably see things a lot differently now.

‘I think you do, just as you get older anyway, but you know, never say never. I have so much love for them and always will.

‘So never say never [to a reconciliation].’

Jesy has also ended her feud with Simon, 66, who she said reached out following the heartbreaking diagnosis of her daughters.

She said: ‘He called me, he reached out to me when I had the girls’ diagnosis.

‘We had a good long old chat and we actually spoke about his new Netflix show. I did watch it and I actually really enjoyed it.’

Jesy’s time in Little Mix will be explored in a brand new Amazon Prime Video documentary series.

The docu-series covers the ‘most painful’ time of her life as it charters her journey to motherhood, with the star suffering pregnancy complications, including Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome and giving birth to twin daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe

The trailer opens with Jesy looking out to an empty stadium as she says: ‘I have never spoken about this. I just always wanted to entertain people. It felt magical and then it very quickly isn’t. I have just always stayed quiet. I was the one that left.’

A montage of clips play out from her Little Mix days, showing the star breaking down in tears and sitting out of group dance practice.

‘I’ve really struggled keeping all of this in… Now I’m ready to tell my side of the story.’

Elsewhere in the documentary, scenes document the moment Jesy and her now ex-fiancé Zion Foster, 27, are told by a doctor there is only a 5% chance their twin daughters will survive to birth.

Another initiate clip from her three-month hospital stay, shows Jesy crying. She weeps: ‘I hate that my body is letting me down’.

Jesy’s mother, Janice, comments after watching her daughter’s terrifying pregnancy journey: ‘If something was to go wrong now. I dread to think what it would be like’ – unaware of what is to come.

Jesy said the documentary is so painful to watch following her twins’ diagnosis.

Considered the most severe form of SMA, Type 1 symptoms – which typically appear in infancy – include extreme muscle weakness, difficulties swallowing and respiratory issues.

Jesy is now campaigning for SMA1 screening at birth and has started a petition to get the condition added to the newborn blood spot screening test, also known as the heel prick test.

A synopsis for the show reads: ‘Expecting twins, Jesy opens up about the joy, vulnerability, and fear that comes with carrying two little lives.

‘The series follows Jesy through the emotional rollercoaster of pregnancy complications, including Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome, a rare and potentially life-threatening condition.

‘With weekly hospital visits, candid conversations, and the unwavering support of her loved ones, Jesy navigates the highs and lows of pregnancy, confronting her deepest fears while embracing a newfound strength.

‘But this journey isn’t just about motherhood; she needs to confront her past, too. In this series, she will open up about the life-altering decision to leave Little Mix in 2020, breaking her silence on the relentless pressures of fame, her battle with mental health, and the controversies that followed.’

Ahead of the release, Jesy told Amazon: ‘We opened the doors fully, and I’m really looking forward to letting you all in as I navigate my way to becoming a first-time mum to our beautiful baby girls, Ocean and Story.

‘I’ll be honest, it’s not been easy as it’s been such a high-risk pregnancy, so you’ll see all the highs and lows and rollercoaster of emotions we have been going through.

‘I hope you will all join me on this journey as I really open up and say goodbye to the past and enter this new chapter in my life. I hope you love it as much as we do.’
