Jennifer Lopez made light of her divorce from Ben Affleck as she gave a ruthless response to a fan named Ben after he joined her on stage during her Las Vegas Residency show over the weekend.
“Look at this guy,” the “On the Floor” hitmaker said as she called a member of the audience up to join her and her backup dancers in video footage obtained by DeuxMoi on Monday.
“We gonna take him for everything he’s got,” she joked.
After the fan made it up to Lopez, the star asked him for his name. At which point, he revealed into the microphone his name is Ben.
Lopez responded by giving a quick “ugh!” and making a sour face before laughing off the interaction and ushering the fan behind the curtain.
This isn’t the first time Lopez has poked fun at her past romances. Earlier this month, the “Let’s Get Loud” singer, 56, proved she was a good sport when she joked about her divorce from Marc Anthony on stage at her Las Vegas residency.
“After my third divorce, that’s when I really started getting good at it,” Lopez quipped of her marriage to the Puerto Rican singer, whom she divorced in 2014.
“Seriously, that’s not funny,” the Grammy nominee continued, per video shared online, adding that “it was actually a really tough time.”
After their breakup, Lopez — who previously dated Affleck from 2002 until 2004 — went on to rekindle her romance with the “Good Will Hunting” star in April 2021. They tied the knot the following year. However, by August 2024, Lopez filed for divorce.
In an October 2024 conversation with Nikki Glaser for Interview Magazine, Lopez told the comedian that she doesn’t regret her decision to walk away from the actor.
“Not one second,” she admitted. “That doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out for good. It almost did. But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, ‘F—, that is exactly what I needed. Thank you, God. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry that you had to do this to me so many times.’“
In the most recent update, the “Hustlers” star admitted she’s in her “happy era” now, two years after her fourth divorce.
“I think, for the first time in my life, I feel like I’m free; I’m on my own. And it feels really good,” Lopez gushed in a teaser clip of her “Nightline” interview, which aired on “Good Morning America” in March.
“I’ve gotten to the point where I really trust myself and appreciate myself a little bit more, instead of being so hard on myself and always trying to prove myself,” Lopez admitted, recalling how she “had to stop everything” and take “a year off from work” to properly heal from her divorce.
