Jennifer Lawrence’s high-low street style never fails to impress, and her quintessential fall outfit this week was no exception. Pairing a beautiful teal Suzie Kondi cashmere sweater with a vintage Hermès bag, the “Hunger Games” star wore a chic classic on her feet: Sperry Authentic Original Boat Shoe.
While there’s a lot to love about JLaw-approved footwear, the leather style happens to be 40% off during Nordstrom’s Savings Event, making it a smart buy as well. (Hurry though — the sale is only through Sept. 23.)
The hand-sewn boat shoe features a moc-stitched toe, a plaid insole and a tread that promises “superior traction on wet and dry surfaces.” They come in sizes 5-11, and are also on sale on Amazon.
Lawrence, who lives in the West Village, is known for choosing comfortable shoes (a necessity for walking Gotham’s mean streets). Fellow New Yorker Sarah Jessica Parker has been spotted in the same pair.
And comfy is one word that pops up often in reviews of the sneaker alternative, which is perfect for transitional dressing as the weather turns cooler — especially if you’re not quite ready to break out boots.
They also complement jeans and dresses, à la Lawrence, who seemed to throw her sweater over a cream slip dress.
