Jennifer Aniston has a refreshingly simple approach to staying fit: keep moving.
The Friends star’s personal trainer Dani Coleman shared Aniston’s secrets to remaining trim and toned at 56, revealing that Aniston stays both consistent and compassionate with herself when it comes to her wellness goals.
“She loves a challenging workout. The only things that outshine her work ethic in our workouts are her humor and humility,” Coleman told the Daily Mail in an interview published on Thursday, January 8, revealing the actress is committed to showing up “no matter” how booked and busy her schedule is. “We continue to have fun and unlock new levels of strength together.”
“She understands that doing something each day, even if it’s small, is better than nothing, which is why she loves PVOLVE because we have workouts of all lengths and formats,” the trainer raved.
In addition to eating nutritiously, Aniston loves to break a sweat with pop music blasting, Coleman said. “Our sessions are filled with hard work, a good playlist and a few intermissions to play with the pups!”
Coleman noted they have been working together for five years and met through a mutual connection, hitting it off right away. “I’ll never forget our first session — we did a full-body workout using our p.band, p.ball and gliders,” she shared.

As for what they do during a workout session, “Jen and I train utilizing our Signature formats: Strength & Sculpt, Sculpt & Burn and Progressive Weight Training.”
That includes full-body workouts, resistance training and weights. “We mix in heavy dumbbells with a focus on building lean muscle mass,” Coleman said, calling Aniston a “super woman.”
Coleman recently launched a 2026 campaign called Worth It Everytime, which centers around the benefits of carving out time for a workout — even if it’s just a few minutes.
In a recent post on the PVOLVE Instagram page, Aniston said what makes it worth it for her is “that amazing feeling at the end.” She added, “When all the work is behind and you can exhale.”
In September 2025, Aniston spoke about her food indulgences while promoting her children’s cookbook, Cook with Clydeo, including 35 recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
“Honestly, having a group of friends over is always an instant pick-me-up,” she told People.
Aniston noted that if she’s not “making some sort of comfort food like pizza nights, burgers or Mexican food,” she loves paying a visit to her trusted food spots. “I’ll go to my favorite restaurant with some girlfriends, have a martini and some delicious meal,” the star added.
Prior to that, an insider told Us Weekly exclusively in June 2023 that Aniston loves to meditate and hike with her dogs so she can feel her best.
“Jen’s meals are rich in protein with a healthy amount of carbs and he also indulges in treats and cheat days,” the insider shared at the time. “If she wants to enjoy a dirty martini or tequila, she’ll splurge. It’s no big deal.” The source pointed out that it’s about “being as healthy and happy as she can be.”
