Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo ignored warnings from their legal teams regarding having kids together after their divorce, Page Six can reveal.
According to the exes’ marital dissolution agreement (MDA) — which was filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, Friday — the parties confirmed they had been given “separate” advice by each of their attorneys about their ongoing desire to procreate.
Jelly, 41, and Bunnie, 46, acknowledged that they were told “there may be consequences pertaining to this Agreement with respect to their genetic materials, due to evolving technology and case law; as well as the ‘interim category’ of interest afforded to said genetic materials.”
The former couple — whose grueling IVF journey had admittedly “wrecked” them both physically and emotionally — went on to acknowledge that their respective attorneys “are not experts with regard to genetic and reproductive rights.”
Moreover, they had each been “directed and advised to obtain independent advice from qualified expert counsel in genetics and reproductive law prior to signing this Agreement.”
However, Jelly and Bunnie “specifically” chose not to consult with more specialized lawyers on the matter, according to the court papers.
Also in the divorce, they revoked and canceled “any prior permission” given to each other or their teams to use passwords to access the other person’s personal accounts and records.
Their MDA also included a “confidentiality and non-disparagement” clause prohibiting them from trashing each other or discussing private matters publicly.
To divvy up their assets — including property, furniture, vehicles, an aircraft, accounts, debt, intellectual property and more — the duo entered into a confidential property settlement agreement (CPSA).
Jelly and Bunnie were declared divorced on Friday.
The musician filed to end their union in May after almost 10 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
The following month, the “Dumb Blonde Podcast” host addressed the split in a since-deleted episode in which she said she would not allow their breakup to “deter” her dream of becoming a mom.
She claimed Jelly — who already has two children from previous relationships — was on the “same” page about still trying to have a baby together and raising the child “as one big happy family.”
As for what led to the divorce, Bunnie kept things vague when revealing that they had a final argument this past Mother’s Day.
According to Bunnie, Jelly has “started dating” again and has “no issue at all” with her recent fling with 24-year-old reality star Dylan Wolf.
