Jeff Bridges has tragically lost his family’s iconic Malibu home to the catastrophic wildfires that have been ravaging Los Angeles.
The 75-year-old Oscar winner now joins a growing list of Hollywood figures whose homes have been destroyed as the fires claim at least five lives and force 130,000 evacuations.
The 4-bedroom beachfront estate, once owned by Jeff’s parents—legendary Hollywood actors Lloyd and Dorothy Bridges—was a cherished family legacy, as reported by TMZ.
The stunning property was passed down to Jeff, his Golden Globe-winning brother Beau Bridges, 83, and their actress sister Cindy Bridges.
However, the siblings did not use the home as a primary residence, and by 2018, it was being rented out for $16,000 a month, according to the LA Times.
In May, Jeff purchased a stunning Santa Barbara estate for $8.15 million, after selling over three acres of land in the Malibu hills for $850,000 in 2019, per the outlet.

Bridges won his Oscar for his performance in the 2009 film Crazy Heart.
He also received nominations for his roles in Hell or High Water (2016), True Grit (2010), and The Contender (2000), among others.
His iconic role in The Big Lebowski (1998) remains a cult favorite.
As the fires continue to rage, Bridges and many others are left grappling with the heartbreaking loss of their homes in one of the hardest-hit areas of Los Angeles.
General Hospital star Cameron Mathison broke down in tears as he recounted returning to the ruins of his California home.
‘I can’t sleep. I’ve lost everything I own. I have this hoodie I’m wearing, a pair of pants, and two pairs of sneakers—that’s it,’ he explained to GMA on Tursday. ‘But obviously, it’s important to focus on what we have and what we can be grateful for.’
Mathison and his now-estranged wife Vanessa Arevalo had lived in the Pasadena home since 2012, along with their children Lelia, 18, and Lucas, 21.
Unfortunately, Mathison isn’t alone in dealing with the devastation.

The couple had just been seen publicly at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, less than two days before the fires began. T
They bought their home in 2019 for $6.5 million. The house had five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and three floors across 6,000 square feet.

Ben Affleck got an unwelcome surprise on Tuesday when he came home to find part of LA’s west side being engulfed by a massive wildfire.
His neighborhood in Pacific Palisades is home to a ton of stars, including Tom Hanks, Miles Teller, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Sandler, and Jhene Aiko.
Sadly, at least five people have lost their lives in the disaster, with 2,000 buildings destroyed and many more left in ruins, reduced to nothing but ash.
