It was Jeff Brazier’s chance to cash in on his family drama.

Appearing in an Osbournes-style fly-on-the-wall documentary show alongside his sons Bobby and Freddy would have surely been a ratings winner for ITV who have been ‘super keen’ to sign the trio up.

But now the Daily Mail can reveal that Jeff, who works as This Morning’s parenting expert, has pulled out of the project after yet another fall-out with his offspring.

Sources say that the ‘ongoing stress’ in the Brazier clan could be Jeff’s reason for pulling out of the show.

Sources close to the family said: ‘Jeff has pulled out of the show, leaving pre-production in chaos. Nobody really knows why, but there is a lot of ongoing stress in the Brazier clan, especially with Freddy about to become a dad.

‘It’s a lot, but Jeff deciding to take himself away from the show has come as a shock to ITV, who had it down as a big ratings winner.’

The TV presenter, 46, was set to appear in an Osbournes-style fly-on-the-wall documentary show alongside his sons Bobby and Freddy (L-R Bobby Brazier, Jeff, and Freddy Brazier)

Despite Jeff’s exit, those involved with the programme hope that siblings Bobby and Freddy – sons of the late reality star Jade Goody – will continue in what could be the anticipated reality show of the year.

It was also hoped that it could have been a springboard for model Freddy to become a television star, while it would have been a new role for former EastEnders actor and Strictly finalist Bobby, who is yet to find a big role and instead has joined the Harri Krishna movement.

Last year, the Daily Mail revealed how Jeff, 46, had been in talks with ITV since late last year about the series which would follow him and his sons as they navigate their domestic troubles which have recently included his split from wife Kate Dwyer last November.

Freddy also parted ways with his pregnant girlfriend, Holly Swinburn, who is thought to be giving birth within the next three months.

One source close to the programme said that it would be modelled on the ground breaking reality series The Osbournes, which followed Ozzy Osbourne, his wife Sharon, and kids Kelly and Jack in their chaotic, foul-mouthed, but loving Beverly Hills home between 2002 and 2005.

Jeff was left to bring up Bobby and Freddy when they were just toddlers following their mother Jade’s death in 2009 from cervical cancer.

He took them out of the limelight to ensure they had privacy until they were adults – in contrast to how the late reality star posed alongside them for paid magazine shoots.

But in recent years, Jeff has gone to war with Jade’s mother, Jackiey Budden, as he believes that she has been a bad influence.

At one stage, he attempted to launch a legal bid to keep his youngest son away from her.

Jeff to use complex court paperwork to prevent the aspiring model from seeing Jackiey after he blamed her for Freddy going off the rails. Freddy sided with his grandmother, but Jeff latterly dropped the action.

Last month, Jeff revealed that his seven-year marriage with his wife, Kate, had sadly come to an end.

He took to Instagram to share a lengthy statement, announcing they had gone their separate ways, and made reference to the difficult year they had faced due to fractured relations with his son Freddy, 21.

He told fans: ‘I’m so full of love and gratitude for Kate. For all we achieved, for how much we grew, for everything we endured.

‘We separated in the summer and kept it private for as long as we could to give us some time to adjust.

‘For 12 years we have been each others safe space, each others biggest supporters at a time when our lives have been busy, painful & complex.

‘I’m so proud of how hard we worked, how we kept showing up, we gave everything and more.

‘I’m also so full of respect and admiration for the successful career Kate has built and the way she cared for me unconditionally.’

Jeff stated that Kate still keeps in touch to check in on how his sons are doing, as Freddy prepares to welcome his first child.

The presenter continued: ‘It’s credit to the woman she is that she still checks in to ask how the boys are doing because she is so invested in their lives.

‘They love her and I have many friends that love her too. I will miss her family who always went above and beyond to support us.

‘My words don’t tell the full picture because they don’t need to. We will carry on supporting each other and I know I’ll be celebrating her inevitable wins just like before.

‘We both deserve complete happiness and we’re upset that we ultimately couldn’t be that for one another and It felt time to let it go.’
