Jason Kelce’s envy for his brother’s hair has reached “new heights.”
During Wednesday’s episode of Jason and Travis Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, the brothers compared hairstyles — and more importantly, hairlines — as they tried to decipher who’s hair is more “suave.”
“You’ve got a little suave going right now,” the Kansas City Chiefs star said to his big bro. Despite the compliment, Jason immediately got defensive.
“No, you’re the suave,” the former Philadelphia Eagles center urged. “Take that hat off. You got the suave.”
While at first Travis tried to remain humble, saying, “I’m not going to do that,” he then decided to show off his luscious locks “just a little.”
The NFL star removed his Cincinnati Bearcats hat and ran his fingers through his long brunette hair before giving it a little hair toss.
“Oooh look at that hair!” Jason quipped. But as Travis puts his cap back on his head, Jason added, “I can’t believe you haven’t started balding.”
Travis seemed confused by his brother’s comment, asking, “What? We’re Kelces,” he implying that the family was granted with good hair genes. Unfortunately, Jason’s having a different experience.
“I’m balding, Travis,” he shared with concern. “I’m getting thin up there.”
Still confused, Travis asks, “Where?” prompting the dad to tilt his head down and show the camera a bird-eye view of his locks.
“No, it’s just a widow’s peak, not up top — you’re good up top,” Travis assured, while Jason still insisted “it’s going thin right through” the middle. “That’s why you do it to the side?” Travis asked.
Jason then admitted, “I don’t do anything. I just wake up.” He added with a laugh, “I don’t do s—t to my hair.”
While Jason and wife Kylie Kelce have admitted they aren’t really interested in fashion trends, Travis is, of course, one of the most stylish in the NFL. And his hair has been a hot topic of conversation for a long time, too.
After some fans claimed he “invented” the fade hairstyle — which the “Grotesquerie” actor has denied, of course — he’s mixed things up with fresh cuts and, most recently, grew out his hair (past a somewhat awkward slicked-back phase) this year, apparently thanks to encouragement from girlfriend Taylor Swift.
Perhaps the pop star can give a makeover to the whole family.
