Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is one of the top TV shows. It began in 2020 and since then has been amongst the top five TV shows on the TRP charts. Currently, the show has Bhavika Sharma and Hitesh Bharadwaj as the lead actors. They play the role of Savi and Rajat in the show. However, the ratings of the show have been a bit low and hence, the makers decided to have a leap. The show will now take a generation leap and the new story will begin from Thursday. The new promo is out where veteran actress Rekha introduced the three leads of the show.
The promo begins with a captivating sequence featuring Sanam Johar, who plays a rockstar, performing on stage, while Tejaswini (played by Vaibhavi Hankare) watches him with admiration. But as the promo progresses, Rekha’s voice narrates the heartbreaking journey of their love story. Vaibhavi Hankare’s character Tejaswini is seen caught between her duties as a wife in a loveless marriage and the enduring passion she feels for her past love. Sanam Johar’s character, who once abandoned her for his career, reappears in her life. At the same time, Param Singh’s character offers Tejaswini a new beginning, but she finds it difficult to move on from the past.

However, it was being reported that Sai Ketan Rao, Zaan Khan and Dheeraj Dhoopar were approached for the lead role before. Dheeraj was reportedly finalised but things did not move ahead due to budget issues. However, as per India Forums, budget is not only the reason for Dheeraj not being the lead in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.
The sources close to the entertainment news portal said that budget was one of the reasons but it was not the exact reason. They said that Dheeraj was eventually fine with the budget but he was not ready to work on the production clauses. Dheeraj enquired about the exit clause and other things too.
The source added, “The makers then got in touch with Param and he signed the show blindly, no questions asked. That is because he has worked with the production before and he knows how does the production function. So yes, as for Dheeraj, agreement par kaafi issues huye.”
