Hailey Bieber may be a billionaire, but we have one skin care staple in common: the Starface Hydro-Star Pimple Patches.
I’m not someone who deals with frequent breakouts, but because I use the occasional retinol treatment, I know I can expect a little dryness here and there — and, every so often, the inevitable blemish that seems to appear at the worst possible time.
That’s exactly where Starface Hydro-Star Pimple Patches have earned a permanent spot in my skincare routine.
First off, this isn’t the traditional acne treatment that feels harsh or drying; these hydrocolloid patches offer a much gentler approach. I simply apply one over a freshly cleaned blemish, and it creates a protective barrier that helps absorb excess fluid while keeping me from absentmindedly picking at my skin. For me, that’s half the battle.
I’ve found that leaving a patch on overnight often helps flatten the spot by morning, and even during the day, it keeps the area protected while it heals.
Hailey and Justin Bieber have both reached for the same little stars on multiple occasions, before launching Rhode acne patches.
They’re far from the only celebrities who’ve been spotted using the spot treatment, either, as Anne Hathaway, Kourtney Kardashian, Millie Bobby Brown and Tate McRae (to name just a few) are also famous fans.
While celebrity endorsements alone don’t convince me to buy a product, it’s reassuring to know that people with constant cameras on them trust these patches enough to wear them in public.
Of course, one of the biggest draws is also the design. Instead of trying to hide a breakout with a clear sticker that’s barely invisible anyway, Starface leans into it with its signature bright yellow star shape. Rather than feeling self-conscious about a pimple, I almost forget it’s there — and occasionally even get compliments or questions about it.
For someone who isn’t overly acne prone but occasionally needs a quick, low-maintenance solution, the Starface Hydro-Star Pimple Patches strike the perfect balance between effective skincare and a little bit of fun. They’ve turned those once-in-awhile annoying blemishes into far less of a hassle — and if sharing a skincare favorite with Hailey Bieber is part of the package, I’m more than happy to keep a pack on hand.
