Macaulay Culkin is mourning the loss of his “Home Alone” mom, Catherine O’Hara after her shocking death.

The former child star took to Instagram on Friday with a touching tribute to his on-screen mother, who he remained close with well into his adulthood.

In the photo, he shared a side-by-side photos of O’Hara sweetly embracing a young Culkin as he starred in the famous Christmas movie and a picture of the actress holding him in a similar embrace as she supported him during his Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony in 2024.

“Mama. I thought we had time. I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you,” he captioned the picture in part.

“But I had so much more to say. I love you. I’ll see you later.”

O’Hara died on Jan. 30. She was 71 years old.

The Creative Artists Agency, which the actress was signed to prior to her passing, told Page Six in a statement that her death came “following a brief illness.”

In the hours before her death, paramedics arrived at O’Hara’s Brentwood home at 4:48 a.m. Friday morning, according to a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson.

She was then rushed to a Los Angeles hospital in “serious condition.”

Her cause of death remains unclear at this time.
