The film marks the second time that Brody has earned an Academy Award for playing a Holocaust survivor in a period drama. Distributed by A24, The Brutalist is expected to stream on Max (the exclusive streaming partner for the studio’s films) when its theatrical run is over. Previous A24 films arrived on Max about four months after they premiered in theaters. The Brutalist debuted on big screens in Los Angeles and New York on Dec. 20, 2024; assuming it follows the distribution company’s other titles, the drama will likely be available on the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned streamer in March or April.
