Justin Herbert scored major points when he picked out Madison Beer’s engagement ring.

The Chargers quarterback, 28, and the pop star, 27, announced their engagement Tuesday after nearly one year of dating, and Herbert proposed with quite a rock.

Experts told Page Six Style that the center diamond appears to be an elongated cushion-cut diamond solitaire, with jewelry designer Logan Hollowell estimating the stone at between 10 and 15 carats; it could be worth anywhere between $700,000 and $1.2 million, she said.

“The most distinctive feature is the incredibly elongated cushion cut. That ratio is much rarer than a traditional cushion and creates a graceful, finger-lengthening effect,” Hollowell added.

“I also love the restraint of the solitaire setting, as it proves you don’t need halos or elaborate detailing when the diamond itself is extraordinary. The simplicity makes the ring feel modern while ensuring it will remain timeless.”

Olivia Landau, founder of The Clear Cut, agreed.

“I love that she decided to do a modern twist on a very classic timeless look,” she told us, adding that the super-long cut and compass prong setting “really gives it a little bit of a uniqueness that you don’t see all the time.”

Other celebs who have opted for elongated diamond engagement rings in recent years include Taylor Swift, Zoë Kravitz, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga and more.

As for Beer and Herbert’s relationship, sources told Page Six that “no one was shocked” the couple have decided to tie the knot so quickly, as their relationship was “heading in this direction.”

The pair even coordinated in wedding white for their announcement post, with the bride-to-be wearing a With Jéan crochet lace skirt and cardigan while her future groom sported a long-sleeved henley in the same shade.
