When are the 2026 Golden Globes?

The 2026 Golden Globes air live on CBS at 8 p.m. ET on Jan. 9, 2026.

How to watch the 2026 Golden Globes for free

Cord-cutters will need a live TV streaming service to stream the Golden Globes in real time. One option we love is DIRECTV, which comes with five days free (after which it starts at just $29.99/month). The platform offers multiple subscription options, including CBS — along with E!, which is airing Globes red carpet coverage starting at 6 p.m. ET.

Additionally, Paramount+ subscribers can catch the show live via the CBS-owned platform.

Who is hosting the 2026 Golden Globes?

Glaser is back hosting a second time — and promising to make stars “feel safe and appreciated,” as she recently told Parade.

“The most delicate balance to strike is giving the audience at home what they want, which is seeing celebrities get taken down a couple notches,” she explained. “Like, we’re treating them like they’re winning a Nobel Prize, and they’re just actors.”

Who is nominated for the 2026 Golden Globes?

Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” is the most-nominated movie with nine nods, followed by “Sentimental Value” and “Sinners” with seven and six each, respectively.

Meanwhile, “White Lotus” tops the TV categories with six nominations, followed by “Adolescence” with five.

In addition to honoring achievements in film and TV, this year will also include the first-ever best podcast award, with nominees including “Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard,” “Call Her Daddy,” “Good Hang with Amy Poehler,” “The Mel Robbins Podcast,” “SmartLess” and “Up First from NPR.”

What stars are attending the 2026 Golden Globes?

In addition to the night’s nominees, 43 celebrities are also confirmed to present awards during the ceremony — from singers like Miley Cyrus and Charli XCX to the breakout stars of “Heated Rivalry,” Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams.

Several A-list actors are also presenting this year, including Ayo Edebiri, Amanda Seyfried, Colman Domingo, George Clooney, Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts and Pamela Anderson.
