Harry hikes! Harry Styles has been commuting to rehearsals for “Saturday Night Live” the hard way this week, Page Six hears.
Spies tell us that the superstar was walking all the way from Brooklyn to 30 Rock, where he has been preparing to do double duty as the host and musical guest of the NBC sketch show.
We’re told he’s been staying with his girlfriend, longtime Williamsburg resident Zoë Kravitz, and it seems that — like many in the city — he’s been tempted outside by the warmer weather the past few days.
Sidewalk sources say that to get to the “SNL” studios, the former boy-bander has been walking south along the East River, over the Williamsburg Bridge, through the Lower East Side and then on up to Midtown. The trek is approximately 5 miles and takes the “Watermelon Sugar” singer about two hours, we’re told.
The long-haul walk is not entirely surprising for Styles: The star has run two marathons, so he clearly doesn’t mind putting a few miles on the clock. He did the Tokyo race in March of last year in 3 hours and 34 minutes, and ran the Berlin marathon in an incredible 2 hours and 59 minutes in September under the name Sted Sarandos.
It reminds us of the days when Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes lived together near Union Square and the “Top Gun” star would walk Holmes to work at the Minetta Lane Theatre in the West Village, where she was rehearsing for “All My Sons.” (Although in that case, the famous couple were tailed by a small convoy of SUVs carrying their staff.)
It’s Styles’ second “Saturday Night Live” hosting appearance. (He hosted in 2019 and was also the musical guest on that occasion.) This time he’s promoting his new “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally” album and world tour, which — as Page Six first reported — will include a long residency at New York’s own Madison Square Garden.
