Fans have gone wild as they speculate Harry Style’s new music video is inspired by David Bowie’s I’m Afraid of Americans.

The former One Direction singer, 31, released the video his single Aperture on Friday – which has already amassed more than six million views- after a four year hiatus from music.

The video for his new song begins in a mundane setting with the singer in a hotel, but it turns action-packed as he ends up being chased by a fan through the street and the two become involved in a fight.

It clearly mimics Bowie’s video, which also follows the star being chased by a man with the same stature and long dark hair as it embodies an abstract concept that the singer was famously known for.

However in Harry’s version, they eventually come together in a choreographed dance scene before they eventually part ways.

Fans have been quick to spot the similarities as they compare Harry’s video to the music legend’s 2022 hit and brand it ‘David Bowie coded’.
