Halle Berry proudly showed off her glistening engagement ring as she hit her first red carpet since accepting singer Van Hunt’s proposal.
The 59-year-old was the image of ageless Hollywood glamour as she posed up a storm at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie Crime 101.
She emphasized her willowy physique in a sleek black suit with a plunging silk blouse, clutching her lapels to throw her ring into relief.
Bringing out her luminous complexion with makeup, the Oscar-winning actress flashed her megawatt smile as she posed beside her co-star Chris Hemsworth.
Nevertheless, her massive bauble – with an Art Deco design featuring black stones arranged in a geometric pattern around the diamond – managed to pull focus.
Jewelry expert Nilesh Rakholia, founder of Abelini, has exclusively told the Daily Mail: ‘Based on the visible scale of the ring, the apparent quality of the stones, and the complexity of the bespoke setting, my professional valuation would place the ring in the region of $120,000 to $200,000.’

Berry swept her hair into a timeless updo, elegant yet casual, and accented the ensemble with earrings and an ornate diamond necklace.
Crime 101 stars her and Hemsworth amid a glittering cast including Barry Keoghan, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nick Nolte, Corey Hawkins and Monica Barbaro.
Meanwhile Berry, who has been married three previous times, confirmed her latest engagement last Thursday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Speculation had been swirling about her relationship status with Hunt, 55, whom she started dating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Last Monday, an interview ran in which she revealed Hunt had proposed to her last June but that she had not yet ‘said yes,’ though she noted she would relent for ‘health reasons’ given the legal privileges granted to spouses, via The Cut.
When she appeared on late-night television three days later, she cleared the air and shared that she has in fact accepted Hunt’s proposal.
‘Well, there’s some confusion that he asked to marry me and I said no,’ she said. ‘No, that’s not the case. I did not say no. We just don’t have a date.’
Leaving the public in no doubt as to the impending wedding bells, she insisted: ‘But of course I said I would marry him! He did put a little ring on it.’

In her interview that ran earlier in the week, she recalled that she and Hunt were set up by his brother in April 2020 during the coronavirus lockdowns.
‘After my third divorce, people started to say: “What’s wrong with her? She’s crazy. She can’t keep a man,”‘ recalled the onetime Bond girl.
‘I pretty much stopped doing interviews for a decade because I got tired of the same old story. It was always: “Poor Halle – Unlucky in Love Again,”‘ she observed.
‘And I would always argue, “Who says I want to keep a man if he’s not the right man?” I’m in the best relationship I have ever had.’
Berry has a daughter called Nahla, 17, by her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey and a son called Maceo, 12, with her third ex-husband Olivier Martinez.
She was first married from 1993 until 1997 to baseball player David Justice, who later said they split because he was ‘young’ and had limited ‘wisdom’ about relationships.
He explained he was a ‘Midwest guy’ who saw his mother’s example and believed ‘a wife at that time should cook, clean,’ on Matt Barnes’ podcast All the Smoke.
‘Then I’m thinking: “Okay, if we have kids, is this the woman I want to have kids with and build a family with?”‘ he said. ‘At that time, as a young guy, she don’t cook, don’t clean, don’t really seem like motherly, and then we start having issues.’

Berry was then married to R&B singer Eric Benét from 2001 to 2005 – during which period he spent 35 days in rehab for sex addiction.
The year they split he performed a volte-face, insisting he was not a sex addict but ‘wanted to save my marriage and do anything necessary to do that,’ via People.
Berry took a similarly beady-eyed view of Benét’s purported addiction, sneering that ‘I don’t f***ing believe that s***,’ on Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert in 2024.
Gabriel Aubry, a dashing model from Montreal, was linked to Berry for about five years between her second and third marriages, during which time they had Nahla.
After she and Aubry broke up in 2012, Berry took up with her Dark Tide co-star Olivier Martinez, whom she was married to from 2013 to 2016.
Halle and Aubry waged a rancorous custody battle over Nahla, culminating in her having to pay him monthly child support among other expenses.
Once Berry got engaged to Martinez, she wanted to move herself and Nahla to his native France to make her new marriage work – to which Aubry strongly objected.
The tension grew to such a fever pitch that Aubry was arrested after getting in a fight with Martinez on Thanksgiving 2012, landing both men in the hospital.
Since the implosion of her marriage to Martinez, Berry has also fought a long-running custody battle against him over their son Maceo.
Berry, who has described her father as an ‘abusive’ ‘alcoholic,’ shared in one of her recent interviews how her childhood trauma had impacted her love life before Hunt.
‘I realized I was just pulling in mirror images of myself — people who were broken, people with childhood wounds that weren’t addressed,’ said Berry.
‘I had to face the pain of what happened to me as a kid and release my secrets. I had to get it out of my body so I could fully love myself and show up for my own children. I cried many a night,’ added the Catwoman actress, whose upcoming marriage to Hunt will give her an adult stepson called Drake.
