Not all cheating is scandalous.
Hailey Bieber debuted darker “espresso” hair last week, and with it, a lighter — and new — lip duo. The Rhode founder took to TikTok to share her current go-to lip colors. And while she began with her brand’s Peptide Lip Shape, she quickly moved on to a makeup artist-founded label: M.ph by Mary Phillips.
After starting with the Overliner Lip Liner Pencil in Skinny Dip — a cool nude shade — she filled in her lips with the new Top Coat Hydrating Lip Gloss in Wild Thing, a caramel nude.
The Overliner Lip Liner Pencil is a pigmented, long-wearing formula that’s meant for overlining a little bit, if you like a full-lip look. Likewise, the sheer, buildable color Top Coat Hydrating Lip Gloss just debuted — but is already earning perfect reviews from shoppers.
The new drop is hydrating, giving the effect of fuller-looking lips with a kiss of shine and color. Both come in neutral and red hues, which can be used alone or over the brand’s Lip Ciggy Sheer Lipstick Balm.
The artist behind the M.Ph brand, Mary Phillips, has worked with the model since she was still known as Hailey Baldwin.
It’s not the first time we’ve spotted Bieber applying the brand herself in one of her viral GRWM social posts either, as she used the brand’s foundation in a TikTok earlier this year.
But based on the glowing customer feedback, Bieber’s not the only one hooked on M.ph by Mary Phillips Top Coat Hydrating Lip Gloss.
“I love it,” one reviewer raved. “I have them in three colors now. These are less thick than my other favorites but still last long. Colors are gorgeous — not one bad one,” they added. (Many shoppers also name-check the color Can’t Stop as universally flattering.)
Phillips, who also frequently works with Kendall Jenner, is known for her underpainting techniques and palettes that cheat model cheekbones and features while keeping a natural beauty style.
