A supremely hilarious tribute.
“Hacks” co-stars Megan Stalter and Paul W. Downs showed up to the 2026 Critics Choice Awards Sunday in matching orange ensembles, a riff on Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet’s fashion choices at the NYC premiere of “Marty Supreme” last month.
Downs, 43, sported an orange leather suit and black cross-body ping pong bag, while Stalter, 35, preened in a cutout orange dress and cross-themed jewelry for the camera.
Chalamet and Jenner attended the December “Marty Supreme” premiere in Los Angeles in orange Chrome Hearts outfits, going along with movie studio A24’s marketing efforts concentrating on everything orange.
Stalter stars as Kayla in the HBO Max comedy, and has rocked unconventional looks on red carpets before.
She arrived at the 2025 Emmy Awards in an unexpectedly casual outfit: a simple white Hanes T-shirt, Levi’s blue jeans, a black leather belt, pointed-toe flats, and a handbag with the words “Cease Fire!” written across the front in bold letters.
“I think people need to bring back jeans on the red carpet!” Stalter told a Variety reporter at the time.
“Hacks” has been nominated for a whopping 62 Emmy Awards throughout its four-season run and has won 10.
The show’s fellow star Hannah Einbinder shared in September 2025 that the beloved series would be coming to an end after its upcoming fifth season while walking the red carpet of the 77th Emmy Awards.
“Hacks” first premiered on HBO back in 2021, and a fifth season was announced in May 2025, just two days before Season 4 was released on the streaming giant.
The 2026 Critics Choice Awards were held at the Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport in Santa Monica, Calif., on Jan. 4.
