Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s favorite books offer an “escape” from reality.

“The Harry Potter series were the first chapter books I remember at 10 years old,” she tells Page Six of her love for the fantasy genre.

“Fantasy worlds gave me an escape by providing a new world I could pretend to live in and this gave me hope that I could somehow escape my reality.”

The expectant mother adds, “That’s the magic of books. They can transport you to another place. And of course, whatever I read, I always love a happy ending!”

Blanchard’s own book, “My Time to Stand,” which came out Tuesday, details her life growing up as a victim of Munchausen by proxy, her time in prison for the role she played in her mother Dee Dee Blanchard’s murder and how she’s starting over.

See below for Blanchard’s six must-read book recommendations.

“I loved this series because it makes you feel like you are right there with the famous ‘Star Wars’ characters in their adventures. All the battles and the characters’ choices had me so invested and I loved reading a new perspective on such a famous series.”

“I love the whole ‘Harry Potter’ series and its world-building, and I especially love ‘Order of the Phoenix’ because Harry is fighting back and standing up to corrupt leaders with his friends, and I think the message of standing together against evil is so powerful.”

“I loved it because it’s like having a friend who’s always there to tell you what’s happening with your baby—and what’s going on with you! It’s sweet and has helped me feel prepared for every little thing, as much as I can be as a first-time mom.”

“It’s been so helpful to read something explaining everything about baby care, like little secrets only the experts know. It has made things seem a lot less scary, and a little easier, and makes me so excited to experience the newborn and infant stages!”

“This series is so thrilling and heartbreaking and I admire Katniss’ strength and bravery so much. You can’t stop rooting for her, even when everything feels so dangerous and sad.”

“In addition to the original trilogy, I love the most recent one that follows President Snow and Lucy Gray. Learning how the games became what we know them as brought so much depth to the world of Panem that I really enjoyed.”
