Graham Norton was praised by Eurovision viewers on Saturday as they said his brutal sarcasm made the competition ‘worth watching.’
As the UK entry, Look Mum No Computer, finished in last place viewers at home hailed the broadcaster a ‘shining light’ amongst an otherwise disappointing show.
Graham, 63, who has narrated BBC coverage since 2009, didn’t hold back as he made digs at everything from the host’s lack of chemistry to the contestants outfits.
His cutting remarks saw him tell viewers to ‘put the dog in the kitchen’ when one singer took to the stage, while another joke saw him exclaim, ‘What the hell?!’ when Latvia came on screen.
Sharing their thoughts on social media, fans wrote on X: ‘The day Graham Norton retires will be a sad day. A shining light of British TV coverage on Eurovision.’

Entrants receive points from a professional jury from each country, as well as from a public vote. The maximum amount of points from any country’s jury or the public is 12.
Ukraine awarded the UK their first point of the night, as they gave them one while awarding Douze points to Malta.
But ultimately, the UK’s entry flopped and finished in rock bottom yet again while Bulgaria clinched Eurovision glory.
It was a tense final vote as Bulgaria pipped Israel for the trophy winning the competition for the first time with Dara and her catchy pop song Bangaranga.

There was a loud chorus of boos and jeers from the crowd as Israel was awarded its televotes – which put their entry Noam Bettan at the top of the leaderboard.
There were plenty of surprises during the televote with bookies favourites Finland and Greece receiving just 138 votes and 147 votes respectively.
Meanwhile, the UK crashed out of the contest gaining just one point from the jury vote and nul point from the televote.
Earlier in the night Eurovision fans said this year’s UK entry was the ‘worst song I’ve ever heard’ as electronics performer Look Mum No Computer battled for points in the final.
The musician, real name Sam Battle, performed his zany entry Eins, Zwei, Drei, surrounded by fur-clad robots as he took to the stage in Austria.
As the competition got underway, viewers at home shared their thoughts on social media, with many claiming the ‘well cringe’ song ‘deserved nil points’.
They wrote on X: ‘This deserves 0 points’; ‘Believe me if we could give ourselves nil points, we would.’
‘I think the UK really doesn’t want to win Eurovision, it’s almost like they are trying not to win it.’
‘The UK entry is the worst song I’ve ever heard. Who signed off on that?!’
‘I think UK will get last place again this year. That song was well cringe.’
However, others argued that although it wasn’t their ‘cup of tea’ the song was a perfect fit for the contest.
The electronics performer and self-proclaimed Eurovision fan launched his YouTube channel back in 2016.
He has since amassed more than 85 million views and 1.4 million combined subscribers and followers across his various social accounts.
