Bollywood star Govinda‘s wife Sunita Ahuja recently spoke her heart out while speaking to the Hindi Rush podcast about her marriage and life together. After 37 years of marriage, Sunita revealed that the two stay separately. Sunita stays in their apartment with their children, while Govinda loves to spend time at their bungalow. She revealed how Govinda loves socializing and chatting with friends late into the night. She revealed that his lifestyle does not suit her quiter lifestyle. She said, ‘We have two houses, we have a bungalow opposite our apartment. I have my temple and my kids in the flat. He loves talking, so he’ll gather 10 people and sit chatting with them’.
Sunita also shared a story about their early days, when she met Govinda. The Bollywood wife said that she was a tomboy with short hair and wore shorts. She said, ‘He wanted me to wear sarees all the time, I never liked him because he was very backward’. During that time, Govinda used to joke that she looked like a boy and wanted her to wear sarees. Sunita who was not a fan of Govinda at first, called him backward. Later, Sunita revealed how she made the first move as he was way too shy. Sunita said, ‘You never know what people do behind your back. Never trust a man. It’s been 37 years since we got married. Where would he go?” She added, “I have told him that, in my next life, he should not be my husband. He doesn’t go on holidays. I am a person who wants to go out with her husband and eat pani-puri on the streets’.
Sunita admitted she feels less secure than before. She said that during Govinda’s successful career, she did not worry about rumors of him having affairs, as he was always busy. But, she said that now when he is getting older and has more free time, she is more cautious about his actions.
Sunita also revealed that Govinda is not romantic and he rarely takes her on holidays or outings. Sunita also said that in her next life, he should not be her husband. She said, ‘I used to be very secure earlier on in our marriage, now I am not’. She also added saying, ‘When he was younger he used to work so much he had no time for affairs but now I am scared, khaali baitha hai kuch kar na dalae (he might do something now that he sits idle)’. Sunita said that their bond remains strong despite all ups and downs. She revealed that the secret to their bond is humor and understanding.
