Glambot director Cole Walliser shut down claims that Jennifer Lopez was “rude” to him during her shoot at the Golden Globes 2026.

“I didn’t take it personally. It didn’t feel rude in that moment,” the Canadian filmmaker said in an Instagram video Sunday — but acknowledged that “a couple things added to the fuel of this idea.”

“One, she’s just down to business. The carpet was closed,” he explained. “She’s ready to go inside. She knew what she was gonna do. She got into the position.”

Walliser said it was “just unfortunate” that Lopez, 56, happened to be “facing away” from him in the viral clip.

“So I am talking to her, she is looking away, but she’s getting ready for the move,” he recalled.

“In the moment, I’m not like, ‘Hey, turn around and look,’” the content creator clarified. “I knew what she was doing.”

Walliser added that the “Selena” actress was simply preparing for her Glambot moment.

“I knew she was getting ready. I knew it was late. We were just getting through it. That moment didn’t feel rude,” he insisted.

Last week, Walliser shared Lopez’s Glambot video via Instagram, which showed “I’m Real” singer with her back turned at the director as he instructed her on how to get into position.

When Walliser asked the “Hustlers” star if she had an idea of a move she wanted to do, she didn’t verbally reply and simply turned around to show him how she would pose.

“Slayed it, as usual,” Walliser told Lopez as she finished up. The pop star, who stunned in a see-through Jean-Louis Scherrer by Stephane Rolland gown, then gave him a little wave and continued to walk down the red carpet with her team.

“The Queen JLO!! She walked the carpet so close to it closing (it might have technically been closed at that point), so I was happy she was able to quickly stop. No messing around — just wham, bam, thank you, GLAM!” Walliser captioned the post.

Several fans flooded Walliser’s comments section, calling out Lopez for how she behaved towards the Glambot director.

“my favorite part was when she didn’t look at, speak to, or smile at you,” wrote one user, with another asking, “Jesus Cole, did Jlo even speak a word to you?”

“This doesn’t help her reputation of being rude lol,” commented a third netizen.

“Glad I’m not the only one that didn’t like this attitude 🙄 Just skip her next time,” wrote a fourth person.

Page Six reached out to Lopez’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
