Gok Wan has sparked speculation he has reunited with his Hollyoaks star ex-boyfriend David Ames.

The fashion guru, 51, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a cosy snap with David, 42.

The former couple dated from 2014 to 2018. Gok captioned the post: ‘Look at his silly face @semadivad’.

David joined Hollyoaks in 2023 to 2024 as the headmaster of Hollyoaks High, Carter Shepherd.

The actor is best known for his role as Dominic Copeland in the medical drama Holby City.

David added further fuel to speculation they have rekindled their relationship as he commented: ‘Love you x’.

A representative for Gok told Daily Mail they are just friends. Daily Mail has contacted David’s representative for comment.

Gok also took to Instagram to reveal he has completely overhauled his lifestyle, giving up cigarettes and alcohol.

He wrote: ‘8 weeks ago today I stopped drinking alcohol and quit fags.

‘I didn’t plan too and I’m not putting any pressure on myself to say I will never drink again but right now it feels good and I don’t miss it. I am going to say I won’t smoke again because I REALLY want to quit forever… feeling a bit chuffed with myself…’

Gok previously spoke about the struggles of his work-life balance and often putting his career first, which has made long-term romantic relationships difficult.

Back in 2017, he told The Sun: ‘I do intend to be married at some point in my life because I want the wedding.

‘But whether I end up marrying one of my girlfriends – just to have the day – or whether it’s a love marriage, I have no idea.

‘I’m c**p at relationships. I’m definitely of the school of thinking: ”If you’re not very good at something, then don’t f***ing go near it.’

‘If relationships come along then they come along. And if they’re not there, I don’t tend to miss them too much.’

Daily Mail has contacted Gok’s representative for comment.
