Gov. Gavin Newsom was on the pre-Super Bowl party scene Thursday night.

Spies saw Newsom at two starry bashes. The politician was spotted heading into Rao’s pop-up, which is running this week before the big game.

As Newsom entered, security was trying to sneak him in to keep him away from cameras and reporters asking him any questions. Our source overheard one of the guards say as they hustled Newsom by that they were trying to duck The California Post!

The pop-up was a replica of Rao’s — the famed red sauce restaurant in NYC — and the night was hosted by NFL legend Joe Montana.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi was also seen at the event, and was chatting with the CEO of Polymarket as she headed in, we hear.

A source said that at the Rao’s pop-up, “Newsom’s table was pretty popular . . . there were a lot of people around that table I would say.”

Also at the party were NFL legends Ronnie Lott, Steve Young and Marcus Allen, as well as Stephen A. Smith, soccer star Midge Purce and many more.

Newsom also was spotted at Marshawn Lynch’s Super Bowl bash at the annual WME x TKO Lounge the same night.

Newsom avoided any pics at the events, we hear.

Lynch and Newsom previously hosted the podcast “Politickin’ ” together. The WME event at Epic Steak benefitted the Fam1st Foundation, including a silent auction of multitalented Lynch’s photography. There were also surprise pop-up performances by Bay Area talent.

Also at the Rao’s dinners so far this week, hosted with Crypto.com, were Roger Goodell, Russell Wilson and Ciara, CEO of the American Cancer Society Shane Jacobson, David and Nicole Tepper, Ron Berkowitz and Kenny Dichter, as well as Rao’s Frank Pellegrino Jr., Ron Straci and the mayor of the meatball himself, chef Dino Gatto.
