Celebrity MasterChef won hearts and became the favourite of the audience. The reality show already had a huge fan following and the entry of celebrities added more flavour. This was the first season of Celebrity MasterChef and Gaurav Khanna won the show. Nikki Tamboli is the first runner-up of the show, while Tejasswi Prakash was declared the second runner-up. Faisal Shaikh and Rajiv Adatia were also in the finals.
Gaurav Khanna won the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 20 lakhs. He also won the prestigious Chef coat. The actor has now opened up about his win. He spoke to Hindustan Times and said how he started cooking at home during the pandemic. He cooked because it was a necessity that time and soon he developed an interest in cooking.
Gaurav on challenges he faced
However, he had no idea that he would make it to a cooking show. He recalled how they were given 15-20 days of training for MasterChef and that is when his interest grew. He always had the desire to make better dishes in the show. He further said how he faced challenges while making non vegetarian food and due to his colour blindness it was a task.
Gaurav said that he never took this as an excuse. He also said that he is a naturally focused person and he likes to do homework before any project. He had never thought he would be a contestant on Celebrity MasterChef and when he did he started enjoying cooking. This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.
‘I will always be the first Celebrity MasterChef’
He further opened up about being the first Celebrity MasterChef. He said, “No one can take that away. I will always be the first celebrity MasterChef in India, and firsts are always cherished.” He also shared that he is missing all the hustle-bustle of the kitchen, discussing dishes and other things about Celebrity MasterChef.
Apart from the finalists, the show also had celebrities like Dipika Kakar, Archana Gautam, Usha Nadkarni, Kabita Singh, Abhijeet Sawant, Ayesha Jhulka and Chandan Prabhakar.
