Dozens of protesters disrupted Israeli actress Gal Gadot’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in Los Angeles Tuesday morning.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrators arrived outside of the tented-off area on Hollywood Boulevard with signs that read “Heros [sic] Fight Like Palestinians” and “No Other Land Won Oscar,” Variety reported.
They could be heard chanting, “Not another nickel, not another dime, no more money for Israel’s crime” and “Up, up with liberation, down, down with occupation,” as Gadot was honored by “Fast X” co-star Vin Diesel and others.
One pro-Palestinian protester told Variety they were “all really upset about what’s happening in Gaza right now” as the Israel-Hamas conflict continues in the Middle East.
“There’s no reason we should be celebrating an Israeli,” the demonstrator said, referring to Gadot.
He accused the “Wonder Woman” star, 39, of “keeping her head in the sand” instead of using her platform to speak out.
“She has the ability to learn and read the same books that we read. There’s just no excuse,” he said.
A pro-Israel demonstrator, meanwhile, said her friends were “murdered” at the Nova Music Festival on Oct. 7, 2023, when Hamas terrorists launched an attack against Israeli civilians, which left hundreds dead.
“They come [to] our home and take us from our home and give us dead children,” she told the outlet. “We don’t start war, we don’t want war at all.”
According to Variety, officers arrived on the scene after a pro-Palestinian protester allegedly stole an Israeli flag.
Despite the confrontation between the two sides, Gadot graciously accepted the honor.
“I’m just a girl from a town in Israel. This star will remind me that with hard work and passion and some faith, anything is possible,” she said at the podium.
Reps for the actress weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
The “Red Notice” star has been a vocal supporter of her native country since the Hamas terrorist attack in October 2023.
“I stand with Israel you should too,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “The goal of propaganda is to dehumanize. It works to dehumanize Israelis and it works to dehumanize Gazans.”
Gadot’s political views have reportedly caused “tension” with her “Snow White” co-star Rachel Zegler.
Zegler has openly advocated for the Free Palestine movement.
Last week, a source told People that the duo “are not friends” and have “nothing in common” as they promote their forthcoming Disney film separately.
