Israeli star Gal Gadot celebrates major career milestone amid passionate protests in Hollywood.
It was meant to be a joyful moment for Gal Gadot, who became the first Israeli actress ever to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. But Tuesday’s ceremony, outside the famous El Capitan Theatre, became a scene of passionate demonstrations, with both pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian protesters making their voices heard.

As Gadot’s star was unveiled, groups of protesters gathered close by, chanting slogans that reflected ongoing tensions related to her outspoken support for Israel. The protest, while vocal, remained largely peaceful but created a tense atmosphere around an event that was otherwise celebratory.
Security was tight, echoing precautions taken at recent high-profile events. Barriers and tents were set up, partially obscuring the view from Hollywood Boulevard, yet the event itself went ahead smoothly.
Gadot shares speech about her Israeli roots
Speaking from the heart, Gadot reflected warmly on her journey from a small town in Israel to becoming an international movie star. “I’m just a girl from a town in Israel,” she told fans, smiling warmly. “I never imagined this could happen. Acting wasn’t even something I dreamt about, let alone getting a star on Hollywood Boulevard.”
Famous for roles in “Fast and Furious” and for becoming a worldwide sensation as Wonder Woman, Gadot was joined by friends and colleagues like actor Vin Diesel and director Patty Jenkins, who celebrated this career highlight alongside her.
A special message to her daughters
In perhaps the most touching moment, Gadot spoke directly to her four daughters, letting them know how important they are in her life.
“You inspire me daily to be stronger, kinder, and braver—just like you,” Gadot said affectionately. “I hope this star shows you that with passion, hard work, and a bit of faith, anything is possible.”
