G-Dragon of K-pop group BigBang and Taiwanese singer Jay Chou are collaborating with McDonald’s and Starbucks in Singapore respectively.
This comes ahead of BigBang’s highly anticipated
G-Dragon’s Peaceminusone x McDonald’s
McDonald’s Singapore released a teaser reel on Instagram today (Sept 9), featuring the white daisy logo from 38-year-old G-Dragon’s fashion label Peaceminusone.
In the reel, one of the petals drifts towards the golden arches, landing gently on it. The caption of the post reads: “Coming soon.”
South Korean publication Money Today reported today that the fast-food giant’s collaboration with the label will be released in 13 participating Asian countries starting from South Korea on Sept 17.
There will be a series of menu items based on the gochujang butter sauce developed in South Korea, including McCrispy Gochujang Butter and McSpicy Gochujang Butter burgers.
Fans can also look out for limited-edition merchandise in collaboration with Peaceminusone, which will be announced later.
Jay Chou + Starbucks
Jay has collaborated with Starbucks to release new merchandise and promote a drink.
In an Instagram post on Sept 7, the coffee chain released an advertisement featuring the 47-year-old Taiwanese singer-songwriter, who walks into the cafe to order a “vanilla latte that’s not sweet”.
According to Starbucks Singapore’s website, their collaborative merchandise includes three designs of stainless-steel tumblers with detachable accessories.
It is also sold on Starbucks flagship store on LazMall and selected Starbucks stores, with prices ranging from $49.90 to $59.90.
