Season five of Fauda, the popular Israeli action drama, is set to start production at the end of April, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed on Wednesday.

The returning cast and storylines for the latest season remain under wraps. Yes Studios, which handles the action series’ international distribution, said a new season of Fauda is expected to premiere on Yes TV in Israel in early 2026.

That will be followed by a worldwide launch on Netflix, where the first four seasons of Fauda streamed. The upcoming season of the action thriller will be shot in Israel as well as in unspecified foreign locations where the Fauda team will go abroad on a private mission.

A return for production for Fauda follows the Israeli film and TV industry being mobilized in wake of the Oct.r 7, 2023, attack on southern Israeli by Hamas terrorists.

Created by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff, Fauda follows a team of elite Israeli undercover agents operating in the West Bank. In season four, a small terrorist cell raised red flags within the Israeli security services, leading Officer Doron Kavillio, played by Raz, to go to Belgium for a mission that took a dangerous turn.

The fifth season of Fauda will be directed by Omri Givon (Hostages) and written by Omri Shenhar (TehranMagpie). Fauda is produced by Yes TV and L. Benasuly Productions.

Sharon Levi, managing director of Yes Studios, in a statement said: “In February 2015, Fauda premiered on Yes TV and in the past 10 years, we’ve seen this series grow and become a worldwide phenomenon. We can’t think of a better way to commemorate this anniversary than by bringing Fauda back for another season to be enjoyed by its dedicated fans all over the world.”
