Faster Pussycat frontman Taime Downe gushed over his fiancée, Kimberly Burch, in a Valentine’s Day post just two weeks before her tragic death.
“I had a beautiful #valentinesday with my love and better half @burchkimberly. We ate candy and cupcakes. 😁. I’m a lucky man! 🖤❤️🖤,” the singer wrote alongside a black-and-white Instagram photo that featured the couple smiling at the camera.
Similarly, Burch took to her own Instagram to celebrate their love, sharing a picture of the two of them holding hands on a sidewalk.
“Happy Every Day! From your first hello to me I fell head over heels in love,” she captioned the touching tribute.
“You are my Valentine every day of my life. We are a tornado at times and pure raw love. I wouldn’t have it any other way. We do us like no other. I love you with my entire heart and soul @taimed.”
On Tuesday, Burch’s mom told TMZ that her daughter had died after falling off a cruise ship following a heated argument with the musician. She was 56.
The couple, who had been dating for the last seven years, were on board Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas for its ’80s-themed cruise, during which Faster Pussycat performed.
Carnell Burch alleged that Downe, 60, had called her Monday to tell her the news. However, Kimberly reportedly fell over on Feb. 27, the first day of the trip.
While it remains unclear how Kimberly fell overboard, her mom insisted she would not hurt herself.
Carnell also claimed the England native had been drinking on the cruise, which was unusual for her.
“Our crew immediately launched a search and rescue effort, is working with local authorities, and we are providing support and assistance to the guest’s family during this difficult time,” a Royal Caribbean Group spokesperson said.
“To respect the privacy of our guest’s family, we have no additional details to share.”
A US Coast Guard spokesperson told the outlet that the incident happened roughly 20 miles from Freeport, Bahamas.
Video obtained by TMZ on Tuesday showed the Coast Guard’s frantic search for Kimberly in the dark moments after her fall was reported.
In the clip, an announcement could also be heard informing passengers that someone had fallen overboard and the captain had “turned the ship around.”
