Jessie James Decker might be more ready to expand her family than husband Eric Decker is.
Jessie, 38, and Eric, 39, took to Instagram in a joint post on Sunday, August 9, to share his hilarious reaction when she asked him to have a fifth baby with her. In the clip, she zoomed in on Eric while spying on him from afar. After “texting” him and “asking to have another baby,” Eric was seen checking his phone and reading the message.
He quickly put his phone back down without smiling. Eric put both his hands behind his head while taking in the question before quickly getting up and going on a walk. In the next clip, Jessie filmed him taking off in a kayak. “Where are you going?!” she asked him. “Eric!” He turned his head over his shoulder but gave no response.
“Come back!” Jessie shouted after him while laughing.
“I guess that’s a maybe? 🙃🤣 #marriedlife #marriage #couples,” she captioned the post. Her followers were quick to laugh along with the couple in the comments section.
“He’s now heading to the store for cigarettes 😂,” one wrote, while another added, “He tries to get far, far away 😂 He can run, but he can’t hide 😎.” A third joked, “He’s going for the vasectomy 😂.” (Eric previously confirmed he got a vasectomy, calling himself a “survivor” in 2024.)
Jessie and Eric are already the parents of four children: daughter Vivianne, 12, and sons Eric Jr. a.k.a. Bubby, 10, Forrest, 8, and Denver, 2.
Eric and Jessie met through mutual friends in 2011. The following year, the NFL star got down on one knee and popped the question to the singer. In 2013, they tied the knot during an intimate Colorado ceremony and launched their E! reality show, Eric & Jessie: Game On, which aired for three seasons until 2017.
Throughout the series, fans got to watch their family grow with the births of Vivianne in 2014 and Eric Jr. in 2015. After wrapping the series, Jessie gave birth to Forrest in 2018. Most recently, they welcomed Denver in 2024.
Through the years, Jessie and Eric have shared sweet moments with their kids via social media. Earlier this month, she posted a fun day with her children on a lake.
For their outing, she held on tight to two younger kids while Eric gave their older two ones a bumpy ride on a tube.
“Can take the boy out of Minnesota but you can’t take the Minnesota out of the boy💪,” Jessie captioned the post.
