Ed Sheeran fans have come under fire for their poor concert etiquette.
The global superstar kicked off his Loop Tour Down Under in Perth on January 31 and has been taking the stage around the country for the past few weeks.
Attendees at the UK singer’s Adelaide gig last week shared their complaints on Reddit, where they lambasted Gen Z concert-goers for talking through the set.
‘From song one, we had four GenZers sitting behind us and talked through almost every song,’ the irate fan wrote.
‘By song three, I had enough and turned around and impolitely told them to shut up, because who in their right mind disrespects the people around them talking so loudly you can’t even hear the performer?’ they continued.
‘They just kept on talking for the whole night. Nothing was going to make them stop talking. Their best comment for the night: ‘Sorry I am just putting it out there I haven’t brushed my teeth.’

‘Why pay $150 for a ticket to talk through the whole event?’
The post inspired a slew of similar complaints from others who had attended gigs on Sheeran’s Loop Tour.
‘Had the same thing where we were… talked constantly, and when the songs came in they talked louder so they could hear each other over the music. Was so f***ing annoying,’ wrote one person.
Another said: ‘I was also at Ed Sheeran and there were yappers everywhere. People there more for the social media photo opportunity than to actually enjoy the music.’
‘I had a similar thing at a show at the Entertainment Centre… 15 minutes in I was infuriated. It was ruining a lovely night with my wife,’ one more fan explained.
‘I told the two 18-year-old girls and one of their boyfriends to show some respect and be quiet while they are performing. I started out being polite; by the end, I was not polite,’ they added.
Another commented: ‘It was even worse in front standing in GA (General Admission). I arrived during Mia Wray and right up until Ed Sheeran came on people were physically trying to force their way in front of us.’
‘A fantastic concert absolutely ruined by young girls yelling over the music and singing as terribly and as loudly as they could,’ someone else chimed in.

‘I think this is just normal for under-30s concerts now. Events are no longer something young people watch, but rather are just a venue for friends to go out and catch-up with each other. It’s a huge difference.’

Last month, Sheeran wowed fans with an unannounced performance in Sydney ahead of his shows this weekend at Accor Stadium.
The 35-year-old hitmaker took the stage alongside Irish group Beoga, as the band did an encore for their own headline show at the Paddington RSL.
Ed brought down the house as he sang lead on two songs, including the traditional folk tune Wild Mountain Thyme.
He also gave a dazzling rendition of his own song Shape of You, with the group, who are supporting the British-born superstar on the Aussie leg of his Loop Tour.
