From scoring his first win to enjoying a date night with his girlfriend and being involved in several of the night’s jokes, THR has rounded up a list of what the actor’s night was like.
The 2026 Golden Globes was a memorable one for Timothée Chalamet. The actor scored his long-awaited win, after accumulating five nominations over the years, for Josh Safdie’s ping-pong film Marty Supreme. He also brought his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, as his plus-one, was the subject of several jokes — even including a performance — and chatted it up with fellow A-listers.
Below, see what went on in Chalamet’s night. And see all the stars who hit the red carpet here.

Nikki Glaser’s Opening Monologue Roast
Image Credit: Kevork Djansezian/CBS via Getty Images Nikki Glaser, the host of the night, made jokes about many celebrities inside the room on Sunday night — and that included the Marty Supreme star. “Oh my God, man. What a dedicated performance you gave. It was incredible,” she said before adding, “This is interesting, not a lot of people know this, but Timothée Chalamet is the first actor in history to have to put on muscle for a movie about ping-pong. This is true. He gained over 60 ounces. It’s insane.”

Won First Golden Globe for Best Actor
Image Credit: Rich Polk/2026GG Sunday night marked a huge milestone in the 30-year-old actor’s career, as he won his first Golden Globe in the best actor in a motion picture — musical or comedy — category for Marty Supreme.
During his acceptance speech, Chalamet thanked his director. “To Josh Safdie, thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he said. “Thank you for this role. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for this portrait, for your mind, for your worldview.”
He also said how “grateful” he was to be acknowledged for his performance and gave a shout-out to his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner. “My dad instilled in me a spirit of gratitude growing up — always be grateful for what you have,” he continued. “It’s allowed me to leave this ceremony in the past empty-handed, my head held high, grateful just to be here,” Chalamet said. “I’d be lying if I didn’t say those moments didn’t make this moment that much sweeter. For my parents, for my partner, I love you.”

Image Credit: Christopher Polk/2026GG Even though they skipped posing on the red carpet together, the couple spent the night by each other’s side and sat with the Marty Supreme crew. The two were seen being affectionate, sharing a smooch, and after Chalamet gave Jenner a shout-out in his speech, she mouthed to his co-star Odessa A’zion, “I’m so happy.” This is the third year in a row that Chalamet has brought Jenner to the awards show as his plus-one.

Glaser Goes All-In on ‘Marty Supreme’ Jacket
Image Credit: Rich Polk/2026GG Glaser took to the stage to spoof the KPop Demon Hunters‘ track “Golden,” with a Marty Supreme-inspired performance. During the parody, in which she sings into a ping-pong microphone, she took off her sparkly blazer and threw on the coveted Marty Supreme jacket — a jacket that people have waited hours in line at pop-up shops to buy. When Marty Supreme actress Fran Drescher interrupts her and asks her to stop, Glaser replies: “Fine. I really only did this to get this jacket.”

Don Cheadle Teases George Clooney About Chalamet Winning Over Him
Image Credit: Rich Polk/2026GG/Penske Media via Getty Images When Don Cheadle and George Clooney took the stage as presenters, Cheadle playfully joked about Chalamet winning over Clooney earlier in the night for best actor, addressing Chalamet in the audience to ask the 30-year-old how old he was. “Thirty years old! He was 3 the last time you won,” Cheadle said to Clooney. “That’s a long time.” However, Clooney’s most recent Golden Globe win actually was in 2012 for The Descendants, and he was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2015.

Show Wraps Up With: “A Good Chalamet to You All”
Glaser closed the show by paying tribute to the late Rob Reiner, who died last month at the age of 78. She wore a Spinal Tap baseball cap and said the ceremony “went to 11,” a reference to a bit from Reiner’s 1984 classic film, in which the band’s amps go up to 11. Additionally, she gave another shout-out to Chalamet by saying, “A good Chalamet to you all. Goodnight.”
