The doctor knows best.

Peptides are one of the buzziest skincare hero ingredients right now — and cutting-edge skincare line Dr. Barbara Sturm just dropped a serum that’s chock-full of the high-performance wonders.

Promising to slow the visible signs of skin aging, the much-discussed ingredient is said to increase elasticity and reduce wrinkles. And while some of Sturm’s products can run north of $300, the latest Peptide Serum starts at just $95.

Stars like Katie Holmes, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kim Kardashian join Oprah in swearing by the science-backed brand, however, the media magnate is such a believer in its efficacy that she even invested in the company.

The brand boasts that it supports the skin’s collagen to visibly firm, plump and lift, while increasing hydration and radiance. (Additionally, it’s available in a 30ml size for $260, which comes with a complimentary 15ml face cream right now.)

Curious to know more about the trending ingredient, we spoke with Manhattan-based anti-aging doc Dr. Jennifer Levine about the benefits of peptides. She shared that they help skin look “smoother, more resilient, and visibly healthier” over time by encouraging collagen production and supporting repair.

“When used topically, they help strengthen the skin barrier, improve firmness and texture, and enhance hydration, all while being exceptionally well-tolerated,” she added.

Intrigued, we scored an early bottle, and the texture is lightweight and absorbs very quickly. It hasn’t irritated our sensitive skin, and it’s looking good since adding it to our regimen.

While long-term results remain to be seen, one thing we especially love about it is that it can be used around the eyes — where the telltale signs of aging are often most visible.

Meant to be layered under moisturizer, The Peptide Serum is already getting rave reviews.

“This has done wonders for my rosacea! The redness has decreased, the texture is smoother, and my skin looks healthier.”

Dr. Barbara Sturm also completed clinical trials on the fresh formula, with participants seeing a significant increase in skin elasticity and firmness and a decrease in wrinkle depth in 56 days.
